Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name “Fresh & Modern 1BR in El Gouna. Mangroovy Pool & Beach,” I thought it sounded like someone just threw together a bunch of trendy words. But you know what? They actually nailed it. This place really does feel fresh, especially after you’ve been dealing with the dusty chaos of mainland Hurghada for a while.

The thing about El Gouna is that it’s this weird little bubble of calm right at the edge of all the Red Sea madness, and this apartment sits perfectly at the entrance – which means you get easy access to everything without being stuck in the middle of the tourist swarm. I mean, you’re literally a few minutes from those gorgeous lagoons that make El Gouna famous, but you can also duck back to your place when the crowds get too much. The Mangroovy development itself is pretty solid – it’s one of those newer complexes that actually thought about things like decent WiFi and proper air conditioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate that when it’s 40 degrees outside). The pool area is honestly the highlight though. It’s not huge, but it’s got this relaxed vibe where you can actually find a lounger without having to wake up at dawn to claim one with your towel.

What really surprised me was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You’d think being right at the entrance would mean constant traffic noise, but the way the buildings are positioned, you barely hear the main road. The beach access is legit too – not one of those “beach nearby” situations where you end up walking 20 minutes in flip-flops on hot pavement. It’s actually walkable, and the stretch of sand you get to is pretty decent. Not the pristine white sand you see in the brochures, but real Red Sea coastline with actual coral close enough to snorkel from shore. The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there rather than just decorated it for photos – there’s proper storage space, the kitchen has things you might actually need (can opener, decent knives), and the bed doesn’t feel like a concrete slab wrapped in hotel sheets. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you factor in that it delivers on the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not. Sure, it’s only 3 stars, but honestly, in El Gouna that often means better value than the 5-star places that charge resort prices for basically the same location. Just keep in mind that if you’re coming during peak season (December through March), book early because places like this – decent, reasonably priced, actually comfortable – fill up fast with people who’ve figured out that you don’t need to blow your budget to have a good time by the Red Sea.

  The location is superb and safe, the beach and pool are on a walking distance from the apartment.
  It’s well equipped. It had ALL kitchen appliances including a microwave, a kettle, and a washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom lock wasn’t working which isn’t a big deal except if you have a toddler with you!!👀
  Same bathroom (before we use it) had a bad smell all the time, and the shower sink was blocked; which we cleaned.

  Overall; you’ll need to quick clean the apartment and sanitize it before using it

  The apartment is cosy and near to 2 swimming pools.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately the apartment wasn’t clean when we arrived. The wc of the master bedroom wasn’t working so we used only one bathroom. The outdoor terrace wasn’t like in the pictures (the artificial grass was damaged and not stick to the floor).
  And the fact, that we couldn’t checked in before 3 or checked out after 12 as the host wasn’t answering at all, neither our calls nor our messages. Yet ive sent him a message 24 hours before our arrival and 30min before the gouna’s gate. I had to wait for the QR code and even the WI-FI password i had to ask about it.
  So a bit disappointed this time.

  Schöne Gegend, Strand in der Nähe, die Wohnung ist grundsätzlich auch sehr schön aber es gibt absolut keine Wartung – niemand kann sich auf den Zustand auf den Bildern des Inserates verlassen. Glücksspiel aber das gilt anscheinend allgemein für Alles dort. Versprochen wird immer viel.
  
  What could be improved: Personal leider unzuverlässig, An jeder Ecke ist irgendwas kleines kaputt (Klo läuft über, der Tisch wackelt so stark dass man ihn nicht benutzt, Glühbirnen kaputt, Halterungen sind kaputt…), Schöne Häuser aber leider absolut keine Wartung.
