You know what? Giftun Azur Resort totally caught me off guard. I mean, when you hear “3-star hotel in Hurghada,” you’re probably not expecting much – but this place punches way above its weight class. It’s tucked away on Village Road, which honestly sounds more quaint than it actually is, but the location works in your favor because you’re close enough to everything without being stuck in the middle of tourist chaos.

The first thing that hits you when you walk in is how much effort they’ve put into the common areas. The lobby’s got this sort of modern-meets-traditional Egyptian vibe going on, and I actually found myself hanging out there more than I expected. The staff – and I can’t stress this enough – genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or awkward moments where they try to upsell you on room upgrades. The pool area is where this place really shines though. It’s not massive, but it’s perfectly maintained and gets great sun most of the day. You’ll find a decent mix of people there – families, couples, solo travelers who aren’t trying to party until 4 AM.

Here’s the thing about the rooms: they’re clean, functional, and honestly better than what you’d expect for the price point. The AC works (crucial in Hurghada, trust me), the beds are actually comfortable, and the bathrooms are updated enough that you won’t feel like you’re roughing it. Some rooms have partial sea views if you crane your neck a bit, but don’t book expecting oceanfront luxury – that’s not what you’re paying for here. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays at night. I’ve stayed at fancier places in Hurghada where you hear every door slam and conversation in the hallway, but the Giftun Azur has solid walls and reasonable guests. The restaurant food is… well, it’s hotel food, but they do a decent job with the Egyptian dishes and the breakfast spread covers all the basics. You’re also a short walk from some local spots where you can get proper Egyptian street food if you want to venture out. The beach situation requires a quick taxi ride, but that’s pretty standard for hotels in this area unless you’re dropping serious cash on a beachfront resort. Honestly, for an 8.4 rating, this place delivers exactly what it promises – nothing flashy, but everything works, the value is solid, and you’ll leave feeling like you got your money’s worth.

  Amr from the reception was exceptionally kind and truly outstanding—an ideal representative for the front desk. The rest of the staff were equally warm and accommodating, from the canteen team to room service, and especially the entertainment and beautiful entertainers who made our stay all the more memorable. This was our third time staying at Giftun Azur, and without a doubt, we already consider it our second home in Hurghada. We’re very much looking forward to our fourth visit soon.

  staff are friendly, helpful. They have entertainment every night. They put on a lovely event for women's day, They decorated the whole of the reception area of the hotel, put on cocktails and fruit and cake, which was a lovely thought and greatly appreciated. I love the hotel
  
  What could be improved: there should be more choice for vegetarians as my fried found it difficult to find anything hot that didn't have meat in it
