First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Gorgeous 3BR Townhouse in South Marina. Pool view, I’ll admit I was curious about what exactly makes a three-star property in El Gouna stand out — and honestly, this place surprised me. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer is pretty solid. The townhouse sits in South Marina, which is actually one of the quieter parts of El Gouna, and you immediately notice how the whole area feels more residential than touristy.

The Space and Layout

The three-bedroom setup works really well if you’re traveling with family or friends — there’s enough space that you’re not constantly bumping into each other. Each room has its own character, and the main living area opens up nicely to give you that airy feeling you want when you’re somewhere warm. What I appreciated most was the kitchen setup — it’s not huge, but it’s functional enough that you can actually prepare meals if you want to skip the resort dining scene for a night. The whole place feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I mean as a compliment.

That Pool View

Now, about that pool view they mention in the name — it’s legit. You’re looking out over the marina’s pool area, and while it’s not a private pool situation, the view gives you this nice sense of being part of the El Gouna scene without being right in the thick of it. Mornings are particularly nice when you can sit with coffee and watch the place slowly come to life. The marina itself is walkable from here, maybe a five-minute stroll, so you get the best of both worlds.

Location and Getting Around

South Marina Road turned out to be a smart location choice, actually. You’re close enough to the main marina action — the restaurants, the little shops, the evening buzz — but far enough away that you can sleep peacefully. El Gouna’s shuttle system runs regularly, so getting to the beach or other parts of town isn’t a hassle. I found myself walking more than I expected though, because the whole area is pretty pedestrian-friendly and the weather usually cooperates.

Why Guests Love It

What really makes this place work is that it feels authentic to El Gouna’s vibe — relaxed, unpretentious, but still comfortable. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the space and privacy (which makes sense given the feedback), but I think it works for different types of travelers. The townhouse gives you flexibility that hotel rooms don’t — you can spread out, cook if you want, or just enjoy having multiple spaces to relax in. It’s not flashy, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you want to experience a place rather than just stay somewhere fancy.
