Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to the Grand Palace on Corniche Road – the name sounds a bit over the top, right? But you know what, it actually lives up to it. This adults-only spot sits right along Hurghada’s main waterfront strip, and I mean *right* there – you can literally roll out of bed and be on the beach in under two minutes. The location is pretty sweet because you’re close enough to walk to all the restaurants and cafes along the Corniche, but far enough from the crazy tourist bazaars that you won’t hear haggling at all hours.
The couples-only policy definitely creates a different vibe than your typical Red Sea resort. It’s quieter, more intimate – well, as intimate as a large hotel can be. The staff really seems to get that people are here for romance, not family fun, so there’s no pool games or loud music during the day. What surprised me was how well they handle the whole “luxury” thing without feeling stuffy. The lobby has this gorgeous marble work (I’m pretty sure it’s local stone, but don’t quote me on that), and the rooms are spacious with these massive balconies that overlook either the pool or the sea. Pro tip: definitely spring for the sea view if you can – the sunsets are absolutely ridiculous, and you’ll kick yourself if you’re staring at the parking lot instead.
The food situation is where this place really shines, actually. I’ve stayed at plenty of five-star hotels in Egypt where the international buffet is… well, let’s just say questionable. But their Egyptian dishes are spot-on – the seafood especially, which makes sense since we’re literally on the Red Sea. The breakfast spread runs until 11 AM (thank god, because vacation mornings are sacred), and they do this amazing fresh juice bar where they’ll mix whatever you want. One small thing though – if you’re planning to eat dinner at the hotel every night, it can get a bit repetitive after four or five days. Luckily, there’s a fantastic little seafood place about a ten-minute walk down the Corniche that locals actually go to, plus you’ve got the Sheraton and Hilton restaurants nearby if you want to mix it up.
What really sold me on this place was the service level – and I don’t mean the fake “yes sir, no sir” stuff. The concierge actually knows the area and can set you up with decent diving operators (avoid the guys right on the beach, trust me on this). The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and check-in was surprisingly smooth even though we arrived during German vacation season when everything’s usually chaos. The pool area gets busy around 10 AM but stays civilized, and if you want real quiet, there’s this little section by the beach bar that most people miss. It’s got an 8.9 rating for good reason – this isn’t just another cookie-cutter resort throwing around the word “luxury.” It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time at the hotel, not just crash between excursions.

The hotel was amazing, it was so quiet considering it was fully booked. If you didn't know you were in Egypt, you would think you were in the Caribbean

The property is big and has a nice view from the terrace at the top. We had a room leading to the pool and this was definitely a game changer through our stay
What could be improved: The property itself is beautiful, however we didn’t appreciate all the vendors disturbing the guests at the beach. We stayed at the beach just once and for few hours only, as too many people were approaching us trying to sell tours, snorkeling, massage, or photoshoots… the problem was their behaviour which was very insisting and made us feel uncomfortable. We chose this hotel to relax after a busy year so we didn’t like that kind of behaviour. We noticed many people pretended to sleep to avoid interactions with these vendors. It just seemed too much. Also, the property has an exceptional potential and it would have been nice to have some music at the pool or even something going on in the evenings in the outside area.Karim from France – 12 June 2025 (9/10)
The atmosphere was very welcoming and enjoyable. The facilities day and night were very well thought off and gave luxurious vibes. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful for every request, especially the Zacky and the main restaurant staff. Will definitely be coming back inshallah

We had a truly fantastic stay at The Grand Palace in Hurghada and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the reception team — a big thank you to Martin and Eslam, who were always friendly, helpful, and made check-in and daily interactions a pleasure. The entire staff were incredibly accommodating and genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable.
The hotel itself felt very safe and well-managed. Special mention to Muhammad from security — always polite and professional — and of course Lucy the cat, who was a lovely and unexpected bonus around the hotel grounds!
Our room was spotless and well-kept throughout our stay thanks to Sammy, our cleaner, who did a fantastic job and was always smiling and kind. We also appreciated the friendliness of Muhammad from the lobby, who was always on hand to help.
The food was fresh, varied, and delicious, with plenty of options to suit different tastes. Service across the board was excellent, from the restaurants to the bars and common areas — efficient, warm, and attentive.
Even after checking out, the hotel did everything they could to help us out as we had a long wait for our flight in the evening.
All in all, we felt very comfortable and well looked after at The Grand Palace. The combination of clean rooms, great food, a safe and welcoming atmosphere, and truly wonderful staff made this a memorable holiday. We were planning our next trip back even before we left!
What could be improved: The room looks a bit dated.Abdul from United Kingdom – 26 May 2025 (9/10)
This was my wife and I second visit to The Grand Palace Hotel, we really enjoyed our 2 week stay and most certainly will visit again.

What could be improved: Facilities, Food and most of all the staff.Melis from Turkey – 21 May 2025 (9/10)

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights during our multi stop trip through Egypt. We decided to dedicate the first few days of our vacation to relaxation, and the Grand Palace completely lived up to our expectations.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great, which kept us from fully enjoying the pool and outdoor areas but we’re sure that in better seasons, this is a perfect place to fully unwind.
In my opinion, the rooms with direct pool access are the best in terms of comfort. It was such a pleasant experience to wake up, step right into the water from the window, and watch the sun rise over the sea.
The restaurant was well stocked, with plenty of options and good food. The all-inclusive bar service was always available and well-supplied. The staff was always around and ready to meet every need.
What could be improved: The beach and sea spot are not the best, but by taking boat trips or visiting other nearby beaches, you can definitely discover some of the very best that Egypt has to offer (trips that you can easily organize with operator team inside the hotel).Ladislav from Ireland – 14 May 2025 (9/10)
It’s very high standard hotel, Ahmed in customer service is very helpful and nice, Muhammad clean are room daily, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about , Thank you for very nice hospitality

Staff were great Sammi who made up our room was fantastic nothing was to much trouble.Themed restaurants were a nice touch and were excellent.Unfortunatley being non smokers most of the outdoor areas including all the bars weren’t.But all in all good value for money and a fantastic outdoors area and pool guys went out of their way to make sure you had a sun lounger.Would recommend as the all inclusive package worked well for us.
What could be improved: We booked a Junior suite with direct pool access but on arrival were given something else. That being said they changed our room first thing in the morning without hesitation.Room location was fantastic but we didn’t have any hot water for 3 days. That got fixed but not as fast as you would expect from a 5 star hotel.Tom from Belgium – 10 May 2025 (9/10)
The service and semi private chill swimmingpool at room. Good food and staff.
What could be improved: Not the best beach for snorkling.
