You know what struck me first about Green Garden Resort? It’s actually tucked away in the Mubarak 6 area – not right on the main tourist strip, which honestly turned out to be a blessing. I mean, you’re still close enough to everything that matters in Hurghada, but you get this sense of being somewhere locals might actually hang out too.

The place has that comfortable, lived-in feel that some of the flashier 5-star places lack. It’s a solid 4-star that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, if that makes sense. The gardens – and yeah, they really commit to that “green” part of the name – smell incredible in the early morning when they’re watering everything down. There’s this mix of jasmine and something citrusy I couldn’t quite place. The pool area gets pretty lively during the day, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: if you venture out around 7 AM, you’ll practically have the whole place to yourself. Perfect for those Instagram shots without random strangers in the background.

Staff-wise, they’re genuinely helpful without being overly rehearsed about it. The guy at reception (I think his name was Ahmed?) actually drew me a little map showing the quickest route to the old marina – not the touristy directions you’d get from Google Maps, but the actual way locals cut through. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving after 3 PM because they seem to be cleaning a lot of rooms right around 2. The WiFi works fine in the lobby and restaurant area, gets a bit spotty in some of the rooms furthest from the main building – just something to keep in mind if you’re planning to work remotely.

What really won me over was how the place feels at different times of day. Mornings are quiet and peaceful, afternoons get energetic with families around the pool, and evenings have this nice wind-down vibe where people actually talk to each other instead of just staring at phones. The restaurant does solid Egyptian classics alongside the usual international stuff – their koshari is actually pretty decent, which surprised me. I mean, it’s not street-level authentic, but for a hotel kitchen, they know what they’re doing.

The location works well if you’re planning to explore beyond just the resort. You’re about a 15-minute ride from the marina where all the diving boats leave from, and there’s a decent little market area within walking distance where you can grab actual Egyptian prices on souvenirs (though honestly, you’ll still need to bargain). Parking’s never an issue if you rent a car, and the neighborhood feels safe for evening walks – I saw plenty of families out and about after dinner.

Look, it’s got a 7.7 rating for good reason – it delivers exactly what it promises without any big surprises, good or bad. It’s the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, eat reasonably, and have a comfortable home base for exploring Hurghada without paying premium prices for marble lobbies you’ll walk through twice.

  Value for money and nice pool area.
  
  What could be improved: Air Con units dripping onto the bed in the bedrooms. Moved the bed away to avoid dripping.
  The under bed area was very dirty.
  WiFi wasn't working until the 2nd day

  The stay was very nice. We stayed for 1 week and everything went smoothly. The apartment had AC in every room. There was water in the fridge, 2 keys, washing machine, TV, free Wi-Fi where we watched movies, towels, toilet paper and soap. There is a nearby store where we bought groceries and enough water for 1 week. The staff are very polite and helped us with all our questions. The rooms were clean and neat ready to sleep on. We used the washing machine twice and dried our clothes outside. We could see the swimming pool directly from our window. We didn't use the pool since we swam at the beach every day. There were a lot of people using the swimming pool. The owner is very polite and kind. He helped us and reccomended us where to go, eat, swim, and shop.
  
  What could be improved: When you firstly start the AC, there is a noise that is kinda loud but then it fades away. Other than that are hapy with the whole stay and vacation in Hurghada.

  The people there were very helpfull and every question you have will be answered almost right away at every hour of the day, Even at night! The manager ahmed helped us with whatever we needed. Do recommend this resort.
