You know what caught me off guard about GS 18 Villa? It actually feels like staying at someone’s well-appointed home rather than a typical hotel – and I mean that in the best way possible. Tucked away in South Golf El Gouna, this place sits in one of those quieter pockets where you’re not constantly hearing jet skis and beach music, but you’re still close enough to walk to the main action when you want it.

The location is honestly perfect if you’re familiar with El Gouna’s layout. You’re basically in the golf district (hence the name, obviously), which means you get these tree-lined streets and a more residential vibe compared to the busier marina area. I spent most mornings just walking around the neighborhood – there’s something really peaceful about it before the day heats up. The villa itself has this contemporary Egyptian design that doesn’t feel overdone or touristy, you know? Clean lines, natural materials, and they’ve actually managed to keep things cool inside without cranking the AC to arctic levels. The rooms have these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of light, and honestly, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in Egypt – which isn’t always a given, even at nicer places.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you don’t always get at larger resorts. The staff actually remembers your name (and your coffee preference), parking is never an issue, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pushy timeshare presentations or endless upselling attempts. The common areas have this relaxed sophistication that works whether you’re coming back from a day of diving or just lounging by the pool with a book. Speaking of the pool, it’s not huge but it’s well-maintained and rarely crowded since the villa doesn’t pack in guests like sardines. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property, which seems basic but you’d be surprised how many places in the Red Sea area still struggle with this. I mean, the 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s one of those places where small things are done right, from the quality of the linens to having proper water pressure in the showers. If you’re looking for a base to explore El Gouna without the chaos of a massive resort, or if you just want somewhere that feels more personal and less corporate, this villa delivers on that promise without any of the pretentiousness you might expect from a boutique property.

  Our stay at the villa was absolutely wonderful. The place is fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable and relaxing stay with family. The villa is very clean, well-maintained, and offers a high level of privacy, which we really appreciated.

  Very nice villa in El Gouna. The garden with pool it's ok. Location very nice. Service good. Just the espresso was missing but after 2 days Mr David give us the capsule. Thanks Mr David for this beautiful villa.

  The villa was very beautiful, calm and cozy. It was very well equipped. The view was amazing. The communication with Mr. David was very easy and he is a very good host.

  Our recent stay at the villa was a mix of both serene enjoyment and some initial challenges. Located in a quiet area outside the town, the villa offers a peaceful retreat with a lovely garden and a beautiful pool, perfect for relaxation. The different sitting areas around the pool added to the leisurely atmosphere.
  Spacious and Well-Equipped:
  The villa is very well-equipped with modern furniture in most rooms, providing ample space and comfort. The large living room with a big sofa and plenty of seating, as well as the large dining table, are perfect for gatherings. Upstairs, another cozy living room offers additional TV space. You will find soap, towels and hairdryers in all rooms which gives you a lovely hotel feeling
  Bedrooms:There are three large bedrooms with good beds and plenty of cupboard space, each with its own TV, making for a comfortable stay.
  Traffic Noise:
  The villa is near a road, and traffic noise from cars can sometimes be heard beyond the hedges, which might disturb the peace for some.
  Kitchen and Cleanliness:
  Initially, we were quite disappointed with the state of cleanliness, finding it below our expectations. The kitchen, in particular, was in poor condition, with a cracked hob, a small oven, and outdated utensils, making cooking a challenge. However, David and the owners resolved this promptly with additional cleaning and provided more kitchen equipment, significantly improving our experience.
  Improvement Suggestions:
  A kitchen renovation would greatly enhance the cooking experience and efficiency for guests who enjoy preparing meals.
  Overall, despite the initial setbacks, the proactive and professional response by David and the owners ensured our stay was pleasant. Their swift action and dedication to guest satisfaction turned our experience around, and we truly enjoyed the rest of our time at the villa. We appreciated their efforts and would recommend this villa, especially for those wanting a quiet getaway with great service.
