High Standard 2-Bedroom in Mangroovy Residence, Pool View & Beach

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around the Red Sea, but this spot in Mangroovy actually surprised me. When you first pull up, it’s not trying to be some flashy resort – it’s just this clean, well-maintained residence that feels more like you’re staying at a friend’s place who happens to have excellent taste. The pool view from the balcony is honestly perfect for morning coffee, and you can actually see a slice of beach beyond the palm trees if you crane your neck just right.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being so close to everything. El Gouna can get pretty buzzy, especially during European winter months when everyone’s escaping the cold, but Mangroovy sits in this sweet spot where you’re maybe a 10-minute walk from the marina restaurants but far enough that you’re not hearing music until 2 AM. The two-bedroom setup is brilliant if you’re traveling with friends or family – I mean, the master bedroom gets the better view, but even the second room has decent natural light and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The kitchen actually works too, which isn’t always a given in these vacation rentals. I made breakfast most mornings and honestly saved a fortune compared to eating out every meal.

The pool area is where this place really shines though. It’s not huge, but it’s never crowded, and the water’s kept properly clean – you know how some places let that slide. There’s decent shade if you’re not into the full Egyptian sun experience, and the whole setup feels more residential than touristy. The beach access is maybe a 3-minute walk, nothing dramatic, but the sand is that soft Red Sea stuff and the water’s incredibly clear. Just be aware that mornings are definitely quieter if you’re looking to snorkel or just float around without dealing with day-trippers. The local guys who run boat trips usually hang around the beach area after 10 AM, which is fine but can get a bit sales-heavy if you’re not in the mood. Check-in was smooth – the property manager speaks solid English and actually lives nearby, so if something breaks or you need recommendations, they’re responsive. Parking’s no issue either, which honestly matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling luggage and groceries in that heat.

  Very easy check in, host is very response and checked in often to make sure my stay was going well.

  High spec finish abd great location. interior decor was lovely and relaxing. Compound pool and private beach access was a bonus. Also the location was great.
  
  What could be improved: Property was not clean upon our arrival. We had to wait for the building manager to come and get cleaners to clean the apartment based on the previous tenants.

  What could be improved: The apartment was not cleaned yet when we got there, although we arrived 1 1/2 hours after the official check-in time, which is 4 1/2 hours after the official check-out time.

  Das Apartment war sehr schön und geräumig. Die Betten waren sehr gut (sehr weich). Besonders der Balkon hat uns gut gefallen, wo wir viel Zeit verbracht haben. Einige Sachen haben gefehlt, zB Toaster, Küchenschere, Kaffeelöffeln und Strand-Badetücher, alles wurde sofort gebracht.
  Der Pool war super und es war sehr ruhig
  
  What could be improved: Leider war das Ecksofa im Wohnzimmer auf einer Seite durchgesessen, obwohl es versucht wurde zu reparieren, war es auf dieser Seite nicht zu nützen.
  Die Nachttischlampen im Master Bedroom haben gefehlt, nicht wie auf den Fotos dargestellt.
  Leider konnten wir keinen deutschsprachigen TV Sender für die Nachrichten empfangen, trotz großen Flatscreen TV .

  Pool ist super, der Strand nah und schön. Der Bestway Supermarkt am Gate vorne hatte alles was wir brauchten und ein TukTuk ist vorne an der Straße schnell zu bekommen.
  Das Houskeeping Team und Mr Abanoob waren stets erreichbar und hilfsbereit.

  What could be improved: Veldig innestengt luft da vi ankom. Verten kunne godt luftet skikkelig. Bar preg av å være en ren utleie leilighet.
