Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Egypt, but Hill Villa Venezia in El Gouna honestly surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. The thing about El Gouna is that it’s this perfectly planned resort town (some people call it artificial, but whatever), and this villa sits right in the sweet spot where you get that Red Sea magic without the chaos of downtown Hurghada. You know what I loved most? The pool area actually feels private – I mean, you’re not sharing it with 200 other guests taking Instagram photos every five minutes. The water’s kept really clean, and there’s this gentle breeze that comes through in the evenings that makes you want to just float there with a drink.

The beach access is legit too, which honestly wasn’t something I was expecting from a villa-style place. It’s not like you’re hiking for twenty minutes to get to decent sand – you’re literally a short walk from some pretty solid Red Sea coastline. The WiFi actually works throughout the property (revolutionary concept, right?), so you can video call home from the terrace without wanting to throw your phone into the sea. What really got me though was how quiet it gets at night – El Gouna has this almost surreal calm after sunset, especially compared to the madness of Sharm or central Hurghada. You can hear the water lapping, maybe some distant music from the marina area, but it’s not keeping you awake unless you’re the type who needs complete silence.

The villa itself feels more like staying at someone’s well-maintained vacation home than a hotel – there’s actual character in the design, not just generic resort furniture. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, in Egyptian heat, this matters more than you think), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which is honestly a small miracle in some Egyptian accommodations. I was there during shoulder season in late spring, and the staff was attentive without being hovering – they knew when to help and when to let you just enjoy the space. The location on Hill Villas Road puts you close enough to El Gouna’s main attractions but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant foot traffic or noise from the restaurants and bars. If you’re planning to explore the area, you’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the marina where all the action happens, but you can also just stay put and feel completely content. It’s the kind of place where that 9.6 rating actually makes sense – not because everything is flashy or over-the-top, but because they’ve figured out how to make the experience feel effortless and genuine.

  Best ever stay. Outstanding View and facilities and service. The heated pool was great. The house equipment high standard and all in Grt condition. TV has premier league and all sports channels. Location close to Down town and kafr el gouna and couple of hotels. Private beach just out if the door. High response rate by hosts and great service
