Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Red Sea hotels, and the Hilton Hurghada Plaza actually surprised me. It sits right on Gabal El Hareem Street – which, if you know Hurghada, puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but not drowning in the chaos of Sheraton Road. The first thing that hit me walking into the lobby was how they’ve managed to keep that polished Hilton vibe without feeling completely disconnected from where you actually are, you know? There’s this subtle Egyptian flair in the design that doesn’t feel forced or touristy.

What really won me over was the attention to details that matter when you’re dealing with Red Sea heat and saltwater. The shower pressure – honestly, it’s better than most places I’ve stayed in Egypt, and the AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing in your room all night. I mean, the pool area gets busy during European holiday seasons (you’ll know when the Germans arrive), but there are these quieter corners where you can actually read a book without kids cannonballing next to your head. The beach access is decent too, though fair warning – the coral’s pretty picked over right in front of the hotel. You’ll want to walk about ten minutes north if you’re serious about snorkeling, or just grab a day trip to Giftun Island.

Here’s what I appreciated most: the staff actually seemed to know the area beyond the resort bubble. When I asked about getting to the old Dahar district for some real Egyptian coffee, they didn’t just hand me a tourist map – they told me which microbus to catch and warned me about the construction on Tariq Al Nasr. The restaurants on-site are solid (the seafood place does this grilled hammour that’s legitimately good), and room service doesn’t take forever like some places where you order breakfast and get it for lunch. Parking’s straightforward if you’re renting a car, and check-in was surprisingly smooth even during what felt like peak season madness. Sure, it’s not going to change your life or anything, but for a five-star that delivers on the basics while letting you feel like you’re actually in Egypt rather than some generic beach resort – yeah, I’d book it again.

  The hotel was very clean and orderly, everything was super organised and the staff were awesome. We booked half of our honeymoon at the Hilton and then left to another hotel in El Gouna, but immediately missed the Hilton so we even came back the next day. Wael on the front counter greeted us again with such warmth and even upgraded our room to a suite because we came back, now THAT is service!!!!! We will be coming back here 1000000%!!!

  Daily animation shows, very nice beach area, wide selection of food, big rooms. Kamal Sabry was the best, most helpful beachboy 😊
  
  What could be improved: They cannot really accomodate vegan needs. They should have elevator in each building and not making the guests walk each day 6000 steps if you want to go down the beach and back to your room.

  The location of the hotel was very good although it was right near the old town of Hurghada and it was quite a distance from the Marina and Sherry Street.
  
  What could be improved: I mean it's my fault but next time I would get an all inclusive package as I was missing out on the different types of buffet but it would be nice to maybe skip breakfast and wake up a lot later and just have lunch instead as I had to set an alarm for the breakfast.

  This hotel is an absolute paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views, warm hospitality, and luxurious details. The room was spotless and beautifully designed, with a balcony that opened right onto the beach — perfect for morning coffee and sunset drinks.
  
  The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the food was exceptional — especially the fresh seafood and cocktails enjoyed with our feet in the sand. The beach was private, peaceful, and perfectly maintained, with attentive service throughout.
