You know what? Holly might not be the flashiest name for a hotel, but honestly, this little 3-star spot in Hurghada gets it right where it counts. I mean, when you’re dealing with Red Sea tourism, you’ve got these massive resort complexes everywhere trying to be everything to everyone – but Holly feels more like that reliable friend who always shows up when they say they will.

The thing about staying here is the location actually works in your favor. You’re right in the heart of Hurghada proper, which means you can walk to the souks without dealing with resort shuttle schedules, and the corniche is basically right there when you want to grab some fresh seafood that isn’t marked up for tourists. I stayed during shoulder season in March, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests rather than overwhelmed – there’s something to be said for that. The rooms are clean and straightforward (no marble bathrooms or whatever, but the AC works and the beds are comfortable), and here’s the kicker – you can actually open your windows and hear the city instead of being sealed in some artificial bubble. Some people might find the occasional call to prayer or street noise intrusive, but I sort of loved feeling connected to the actual place I was visiting.

What really won me over was how the 8.1 rating makes perfect sense once you spend a few days there. It’s not trying to be a 5-star experience, but it nails what it’s going for – decent value, solid service, and you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically Egyptian rather than like you could be anywhere in the Mediterranean. The breakfast spread won’t blow your mind, but they do this excellent ful medames that beats most hotel attempts at local cuisine, and the coffee is strong enough to get you moving for morning dives. Plus – and this matters if you’re planning Red Sea diving trips – they’re totally cool with wet gear drying on balconies and early morning pickups. I watched other guests at fancier places get hassled about dive equipment in lobbies, but Holly’s staff just gets that most people are here for the underwater stuff. The whole vibe is refreshingly unpretentious, which is exactly what you want when you’re spending your days exploring coral reefs and your evenings wandering around a genuine Egyptian city rather than some sanitized resort version of one.

  The property is located is a live area. Every thing you need is near the flat. It is clean . There is a pharmacy and supermarket in the same street. The beach is near the flat.

  المكان ممتاز و هادي للناس اللي بتحب الهدوء و الروقان و الكورنيش قريب جدا حوالي 10 دقايق مشي

  L'emplacement est très bien situé, l'appartement est agréable même s'il manque un peu de propreté et de finitions. Les robinets et quelques détails étaient moyens. La personne qui a apporté les clés à fait tous les efforts pour que ce soit efficace! Bon rapport qualité prix.
  
  What could be improved: L'eau qui est jaune au robinet et l'état général du bâtiment et de la rue tous deux en travaux. L'appartement a beaucoup de potentiel, avec un peu de boulot ce serait une super location.
