Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first heard “Hotel Room in Aqua Palms,” I wasn’t exactly expecting much. The name itself sounds sort of like they couldn’t decide what to call the place, you know? But here’s the thing about Hurghada that locals will tell you: sometimes the best spots are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you upfront. This place sits right in the Ahyaa district, which is actually perfect if you want to be close to the action without being right in the middle of all the tourist chaos near the marina.

What really surprised me was how the staff here actually gets it – they understand that most people coming to Hurghada are here for the Red Sea, not to hang around the hotel lobby all day. The rooms are clean and functional (honestly, that’s all you need when you’re spending your days diving or snorkeling), and the air conditioning works properly, which… well, if you’ve been to Egypt in summer, you know that’s not always a given. The neighborhood itself is pretty authentic – you’ll hear the call to prayer echoing between buildings, smell fresh bread from the local bakeries in the morning, and there’s this little café about two blocks down where the tea is ridiculously good and costs next to nothing. The hotel’s location means you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to some decent dive shops, and the beach access is straightforward without having to navigate through resort crowds.

Now, don’t get me wrong – this isn’t a luxury resort where they’re going to pamper you with fancy amenities. The pool area is modest, the décor is… let’s call it practical, and you might hear some street noise if you’re a really light sleeper. But that 8.3 rating makes sense once you realize what you’re actually paying for. The value here is solid, especially if you’re the type of traveler who cares more about exploring the incredible underwater world just offshore than having thread counts in the thousands. The front desk folks speak decent English, they can help arrange dive trips without the markup you’d get at fancier places, and honestly, the whole vibe is just refreshingly unpretentious. I mean, Hurghada can feel pretty touristy these days, but staying here gives you a bit more of that authentic Egyptian coastal experience – you’re in a real neighborhood where people actually live and work, not some sanitized resort bubble.

  Small studio apartment on a site with facilities – gym, bar,shop. Quiet location, great bar area by pool that serves food and at reasonable prices.

  Lacking basic kitchenware-there was one plate, one fork etc.

  The apartment is quite clean and sunny. The furniture is well kept, Ikea style
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is 16 kilometers from the center of Hurghada, to reach the center you need a taxi or a bus every day. The apartment equipment is missing several things. It happened that there was a lack of electricity. When you take a shower the bathroom floods completely. There is a large shared swimming pool but it is very dirty and I do not recommend using it. The staff at the reception is rude.

  Ahmed Saeed was a very helpful and considerate host. I really enjoyed swimming in the fabulous pool, gym, rooftop for sunrise and sunset gazing and the shop on site is plentiful for daily needs.
  
  The fact that it was not in the centre of the hustle and bustle but near and cheap enough in a taxi to either hurghada town or el gouna. The apartment is very comfortable and clean with everything needed to have the home from home feel.
  
  It is very peaceful and relaxing at the resort and I would recommend it.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I didn't book longer as when I went to extend my visit it was already booked out. 🤣🤣

  Accommodation very clean, well equipped. Communication with the owner excellent. I recommend it to all travelers. I would love to come back again. View of the pools. The apartment has a balcony where you can relax perfectly.
