Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first saw the name “Hotel Room in Princess Resort With Beach Access & Free Wi-fi I Near Airport,” I thought it was some sketchy booking mix-up. But here’s the thing about this place on the Hurghada-Safaga Road: it’s actually one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel a bit smug for finding it.
The location is pretty clever if you think about it. You’re about fifteen minutes from the airport (I mean, you can literally hear the planes, but it’s not constant), and the Safaga Road puts you in this sweet spot where you’re not drowning in the chaos of downtown Hurghada but you’re still close enough to grab a taxi to the marina or those big resort complexes if you want. The beach access is legit – not some tiny strip of sand, but actual Red Sea coastline where you can walk for ages. I spent most mornings there before the day-trippers showed up around 10 AM, and honestly, having that stretch of coral reef so close is worth dealing with the slightly dated lobby decor.
What surprised me most was how the staff actually knew the area. The guy at reception – I think his name was Ahmed – gave me directions to this little seafood place about ten minutes down the road that I never would’ve found otherwise. The Wi-Fi works everywhere, which is more than I can say for some of the fancier places I’ve stayed. Sure, the rooms have that slightly worn 3-star feel (the bathroom could use updating, and there’s this weird whistling sound from the air conditioning), but everything’s clean and the beds are comfortable enough. You know what really sold me? The balcony views. Even the cheaper rooms face either the sea or these rolling desert hills that look incredible at sunset. The pool area gets busy with families in the afternoon, but if you’re not into that scene, the beach is literally a two-minute walk through their little garden path. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re the type who wants easy beach access without paying resort prices – just don’t expect marble bathrooms or 24-hour room service. It’s honest, straightforward, and the kind of place where you end up having better conversations with fellow travelers than you would at those massive all-inclusive towers down the coast.
