Look, I’ll be straight with you about HRG Hurghada Hotel Apartments – it’s one of those places that grows on you once you figure out what you’re getting into. When I first pulled up along that stretch of the Hurghada-Safaga Road, honestly, the exterior doesn’t wow you. But here’s the thing everyone misses in their reviews: this place is actually perfect if you’re the type who wants to spend your days splashing around without dealing with crowded resort pools or those aggressive beach vendors that patrol the main hotel strips closer to downtown Hurghada.

The apartment setup is what really makes sense here – I mean, you’ve got actual space to spread out, which is huge when you’re traveling with kids or just want somewhere to properly unpack for more than a night or two. The aqua park (and yes, it’s more like a really good pool complex than some massive water park, just so we’re clear) sits right in the middle of everything, so you can literally roll out of bed and be in the water in two minutes. The slides are decent enough to keep everyone entertained, and honestly, the fact that it’s not packed with day-trippers makes it feel almost private some mornings. I noticed the maintenance crew actually cleaning the pool area every single day around 7 AM – small detail, but it matters when you’re spending most of your time poolside.

What I really appreciated was how the staff just… gets it. They’re not hovering or trying to upsell you every five minutes, but when you need something, they’re right there. The front desk guy – Ahmed, I think – knew exactly which local spots to hit for good seafood that won’t break the bank, and he steered me away from the tourist traps near the marina. Being out on the Safaga Road means you’re about fifteen minutes from the main Hurghada action, which sounds like a hassle but actually works in your favor. You get the quieter evenings (trust me, sleep matters on vacation), easier parking, and when you do want to hit El Dahar’s old souks or catch a boat to Giftun Island, it’s still totally doable. The hotel’s taxi arrangements are fair – no inflated resort pricing – and there’s usually a minibus running into town in the evenings. Is it the fanciest place you’ll ever stay? Definitely not. But for families or groups who want apartment-style space, a proper aqua park, and that sweet spot between budget and comfort, it actually delivers more than you’d expect from the photos online.

  Price is great.
  New building, furniture, bedding, towels.
  
  What could be improved: No wi-fi.
  Hosts offered charges for taxi was overpriced (25$) when UBER is around 80 local E£ (around 2$).
  Extra charges for late check in 10$ after 17:00

  It's really good value for money and the staff are very nice and helpful. The only problem I had was with the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately my toilet wasn't cleaned and the towels and bedding were dirty. I also didn't know that you had to pay extra for internet in the room. But otherwise all was ok. The restaurant at the beach offers good prices and okay food. The overall hotel is nice.

  The aqua park is very old and not clean and well maintained, one of them which is the main one was closed for maintena nce all through the trip… cleaning level was not satisfactory, especially bed sheets and covers… although we had an email stating that breakfast is complementary we found out we had to pay for it because of misunderstanding of the word complementary (not for free but for those who paid for it)
  Beach setup was very crowded and not enough chairs for guests 🙄
  I just felt like accoedating us was as if all guests came by surprise and the staff is not ready for them although staff is very friendly… Mahmoud is a great host but he has to do everything by himself or it won't be done

  Amazing stay and exactly what we were looking for. Apartment was really nice. Staff were very helpful. We all loved the convenience of the location, beach access, restaurants and extra activities like diving etc which are within the hotel private beach. Would come back again for sure!

  The owner was very welcoming & supportive , although we arrived late , he received us happily with very warm welcoming, advised how to plan our trip in Hurgadah ,any extra services we needed during our stay he was more than happy to offer it , he allowed us for late check out with no extra charge .

  Avoid staying with view on pool. We stayed in 2 apartments with garden view (which was ok) and with pool view. The pool has a water pump which makes very loud noise randomly every 2 minutes or so, which makes impossible to sleep. Other guests was complaining too, but nothing was done. Eventually one of the guests did switch off the pump by breaking the power cable.
