Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Hurghada City Apartment 3 on Arabia Road, I wasn’t expecting much. The building sits tucked between residential streets near El Salam Hospital, and from the outside it’s pretty understated. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t need to show off.

The location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings. You’re literally a two-minute walk from ElEashreny Street, which locals will tell you is where the real action happens – not the touristy marina stuff, but authentic Egyptian life. There’s this little coffee shop on the corner where the owner, Ahmed, makes the strongest Turkish coffee I’ve ever had, and honestly, starting my mornings there became part of my routine. The apartment itself surprised me with how spacious it felt – these aren’t cramped hotel rooms, but actual living spaces with proper kitchens (the kind where you can cook real meals, not just reheat leftovers). The floors are cool tile that feels amazing on bare feet after a day walking around Hurghada’s dusty streets, and there’s this cross-breeze that happens in the evenings when you open the windows just right.

What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’re still in the city – you’ll hear the occasional motorbike or call to prayer from the nearby mosque – but it’s not the constant hum of resort noise or traffic from the main tourist strips. The building has this courtyard feel where neighbors actually know each other, which is rare in most hotel situations. Parking was never an issue (trust me, that’s not always guaranteed in Hurghada), and the whole check-in process felt more like visiting family than dealing with hotel bureaucracy. The host genuinely seemed to care about making sure I knew where to find good local food – he walked me to the corner and pointed out which shawarma place to avoid during lunch rush and which one stays open late. These apartments fill up during Egyptian holidays and winter months when Europeans escape the cold, so book ahead if you’re planning around those times. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re living in Hurghada rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

  The owner of the appart make my trip so much easier, he was very helpful and Even offered to drive me early in the morning to the bus station for my last day without expecting anything in échange. The flat is very good for that Price

  Gewachsene Struktur. Alles was man braucht wie Shops, Restaurants, Bäcker in der Nähe. Ahmed sorgt dafür, dass nicht alles den Bach runter geht.
  
  What could be improved: Leider keine Ruhe. Es fehlt ein Zwischenwand. Ein Mieter hat nachts laufend Besuche gehabt. Auch Silvester stand wieder jemand um 5:30 Uhr vor der Tür und hat ständig geklopft. Um 6 Uhr bin ich aufgestanden und hab gesagt er soll nach Hause gehen ich will schlafen. Am 02. 01. ist dann wieder jemand im Zimmer rumspaziert. um 0:15 Uhr. Bei offener Tür. Bin dann wieder raus und habe gesagt ich will in Ruhe schlafen. Das war der 4. Mann in 3 Tagen in der gleichen Wohnung den ich um Ruhe gebeten habe. Es kam eine pampige Antwort zurück: ich bin der Eigentümer! Na und? Interessiert mich doch nicht. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Oder mal Tür zumachen. Keine Einsicht. Keine Gastfreundschaft. Deshalb habe ich vorzeitig abgebrochen. Welcher Eigentümer kommt um 0:15 Uhr zur Zimmerbesichtigung? Keine Rücksicht auf andere Gäste.
  Abwaschlappen war dreckig und mit Löchern. Musste man neu kaufen. So wie Toilettenpapier. Abfall selber entsorgen. Wäscheständer war voll staub und musste ich abwaschen. In Waschbecken Zahnpasta vom Vorgänger. Spiegel schmutzig. Mickimaus Bettlagen und rosarotes Handtuch. Wer kauft sowas?
