You know what struck me first about Hurghada Long Beach Resort? It’s actually positioned in the right spot – out in Sahl Hashish, which means you’re away from the chaos of central Hurghada but not so far that you feel stranded. The drive from the airport takes about twenty minutes, and honestly, that distance works in your favor because you get this sense of arriving somewhere special rather than just another hotel strip.

The thing about this place is that it gets the Red Sea right. I mean, a lot of resorts along this coast promise amazing water access, but here you’re literally steps from some genuinely pristine coastline. The beach stretches further than you’d expect – hence the “Long Beach” name, I suppose – and the coral formations are close enough that you can snorkel right from the shore without needing a boat trip. Early mornings are magical here, actually. Around 6 AM, before the day heats up, you’ll have stretches of beach practically to yourself, and the water is this incredible turquoise that photographs never quite capture properly.

What really sets it apart though is how they’ve managed the space. The resort feels substantial without being overwhelming – there’s enough going on that you won’t get bored, but it’s not one of those massive complexes where you need a map to find your room. The restaurants (there are several) actually serve food that tastes like effort went into it, not just generic buffet fare. Their seafood is particularly good, which makes sense given the location, and they do this grilled fish preparation that’s become sort of a signature dish. The pools are well-maintained, and here’s something small but important – they’ve got enough shade structures that you’re not fighting for a covered spot during the brutal midday sun, which can be a real issue at Red Sea resorts.

The rooms themselves are spacious and modern, with that clean, contemporary feel that works well in the Egyptian heat. Air conditioning is reliable (crucial detail), and most rooms have decent sea views. Check-in was smooth when I was there, though I’d recommend arriving earlier in the day if possible – the lobby can get busy with tour groups in the late afternoon. Staff genuinely seem to know the area well, which is refreshing. They can point you toward local dive shops, arrange transportation to Hurghada proper if you want to explore the old town, or help with day trips to places like Giftun Island.

Honestly, the 9.1 rating makes sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be the flashiest resort on the coast, but it delivers on the fundamentals that actually matter for a Red Sea holiday – excellent water access, comfortable accommodations, good food, and a location that feels both relaxing and connected to what makes this part of Egypt special. If you’re looking for a proper beach resort experience without the tourist trap feel, this place gets it right.

  As we booked through booking.com, we had unlimited use of a la carte restaurants, which we utilised every evening as there were lots of options! Amazing facilities – countless pools! Large report so very handy having transport buggies/buses frequently. Hotel app very handy for updates, activities, bookings & bus tracking. Would definitely stay again!
  
  What could be improved: Only reason for scoring 9 instead of 10 is that everything closes at 11 – not always a bad thing, but something to bare in mind

  I could write so many positive things that would fill a whole book.
  Just a few highlights:
  – The deluxe room was spacious with comfortable beds and very clean.
  – The self-service restaurant Al Dante always offered a variety of delicious food (12+ years is a good idea 😁).
  – The a'la carte restaurants (Podium, La Casina, Nubian) were fantastic.
  – The staff were polite and very-very helpful everywhere.
  – The garden with the pools was beautiful.
  – The bars in the main building, in the garden and on the beach continuously provided us with drinks and food.
  – We would not want to stay in another hotel in Hurghada next time, because this one has already worked.
  I would like to say special thank to the manager Mr. Hassan for everything, to our hauskeeper Mr. Ahmed Mohamed for the clean room, to the front office man Mr. Ibrahem Yousef for his kind help and to the main waiters of Restaurant Al Dente.

  Friendly staff, the room was lovely with a fabulous view, the hotel has great facilties and very clean. The food was delicious with a great range of choices. The water park was so much fun!!! I would highly recommend.

  Plenty of restaurants to choose from. As Booking.com guests, we were treated as VIPs where we didn’t have to book restaurants which were by reservations only. We would just walk in and once we tell them we’re booking.com guests, we are welcomed!
  
  We had an evening flight on our date of departure and the Duty Manager, Milad Gergis has kindly given us a late check out, which was much appreciated.

  Our experience at Hurghada Long Beach Resort was truly exceptional! The team went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, especially as vegetarians. They custom-made delicious meals for us, and the Indian restaurant was a definite highlight with its authentic and flavorful dishes.
  
  The entertainment team was fantastic, with fun Zumba sessions, games, and other activities that made our stay even more enjoyable. The Pharaoh Show was absolutely stunning – a must-see!
  
  A special shoutout to GM Hany, Executive Chef Mehfouz, Director of F&B Mahmoud, and the Room Director, all of whom I had the pleasure of meeting. Their professionalism and attention to detail made all the difference. There are too many great team members to mention, but everyone contributed to making our stay unforgettable.   Everything was excellent, from arrival , to departure . The staff, from the front desk who were were really helpful , to the gardeners and guys around the pools were all friendly. A special Mention to Mokhless .( spelling might be wrong) who found my bag when I carelessly left it behind at breakfast. We loved Lunch in the Mexican and Indian, and also the food and service in the Happy Buddha ! Our beds were comfortable, and towels were of a great standard , Showers always had hot water and good pressure. Toiletries were decent quality , The grounds are beautifully kept ! We would definitely return to Long beach resort.
  
  What could be improved: The evening meal in d'whites was not to our taste and it was pretty hectic in there . .. but there are other restaurants available which were good. BUT …. our breakfast was great in D'whites !

  Our stay was fantastic! The beach is beautiful. The room was beautiful (we received a complimentary upgrade- a wonderful surprise) as we were situated in the main building and overlooking the pool, and the breakfast was excellent as well as snack bar food. The staff on bars is great as well as the towel stations, and reception. There are plenty of heated pools to choose from which are clean and spacious, plenty of buffet and a la carte restaurants. The hotel app is also useful for following the events and shuttles through the resort or making reservations in a la carte restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: The lunch and dinner buffet food lacks variety, though delicious, same options of sides, meat, and salads. This is not the hotel's fault, but there are plenty of beds around the pools, they are mostly reserved by people just leaving a towel, making it difficult to find a spot unless you do the same early in the morning.

  We were treated as VIP customers since we booked through Booking, allowing us to dine at any à la carte restaurant without the need for a reservation, and all of them were excellent.
  
  The reception offered us a late check-out and upgraded our room at no extra charge, which was fantastic and really enhanced our stay. Mahmud Atia at reception was extremely helpful, and Mr. Mohamed Hassan from the rooms division was always around, providing professional and attentive service.
  
  What could be improved: We didn’t enjoy the buffet food much for lunch and dinner, but the à la carte restaurants were a great alternative. The drinks were okay—neither too good nor too bad.
