Hotel Description

So I’ve stayed at this little studio in Magawish a few times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just works. The Hurghada-Magawish Studio 1 sits right in the heart of the Magawish tourist area – you know, that stretch where all the mid-range hotels cluster together before you hit the marina. It’s not beachfront exactly, but you’re literally a three-minute walk to some decent sandy spots, and the Red Sea views are actually better from here than from some of the pricier places closer to the water.

What I really appreciate about this place is how it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a proper studio setup – not huge, but cleverly designed so you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The kitchenette is actually functional (I mean, you can make real coffee, not just instant), and there’s enough counter space to prep a simple meal if you get tired of hotel food. The air conditioning works well, which – trust me – matters more than anything else in Hurghada, especially during those brutal summer months when the temperature barely drops at night. I stayed here in August once and slept like a baby.

The location is pretty sweet for exploring. You’re close enough to walk to the Magawish Marina when you want that touristy atmosphere with the restaurants and shisha cafes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the noise and crowds all the time. There’s a small supermarket just around the corner – nothing fancy, but it has the basics plus some decent local produce. The staff at reception are genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions. They helped me arrange a decent taxi to the airport that didn’t cost a fortune, and the guy at the front desk actually drew me a little map showing the best route to walk to Sheraton Beach (which has better snorkeling spots than the more crowded beaches).

Parking isn’t an issue if you rent a car, though honestly, you probably won’t need one much since everything’s walkable or a cheap taxi ride away. The building itself is pretty quiet – I never had problems with noise from other guests, and the walls seem solid enough. Check-in was smooth both times I stayed, no drama with the booking or anything like that. The wifi works fine for basic stuff, though don’t expect to stream movies or anything data-heavy.

Look, this isn’t a luxury resort with fancy pools and five restaurants, but that’s not what you’re paying for. It’s a solid, clean, well-located base for exploring Hurghada without breaking the bank. Perfect if you’re planning to spend most of your time out diving, hitting the beaches, or exploring the area rather than lounging around your room. The value for money is really good – you’re getting a lot more space and independence than you’d get in a hotel room for the same price, plus that kitchenette comes in handy more than you’d think.
