Hotel Description

So here’s the thing about the Hurghada Marriott Beach Resort – it’s actually one of those places that gets the beachfront location absolutely right. I mean, you’re literally on El Corniche Road, which honestly is prime real estate in Hurghada, and when you step out onto their beach section, you’ve got this gorgeous stretch of Red Sea that’s not completely overrun with day-trippers like some of the spots further south.

The resort itself has that solid Marriott feel (you know what I mean – everything works, staff actually knows what they’re doing), but what really got me was how they’ve managed to keep it feeling authentically Egyptian without going overboard with the theming. The lobby’s got these beautiful mashrabiya screens that actually serve a purpose – they cut the harsh afternoon sun while still letting the sea breeze flow through. And speaking of breezes, the way they’ve positioned the main pool area catches the wind perfectly, so even in July it doesn’t feel like you’re melting into the deck chairs. The pools themselves are well-maintained, though honestly, with that Red Sea access, I spent most of my time snorkeling right off their beach. The coral’s not as pristine as it used to be (let’s be real, nowhere in Hurghada is), but you’ll still see decent fish life, especially early morning before the tour boats start churning up the water.

What I really appreciated was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually staying somewhere for more than a night. The rooms – at least the sea-view ones – have these deep balconies that provide actual shade, not just a tiny ledge. Air conditioning that works without sounding like a freight train, which is honestly rarer than it should be in Red Sea hotels. And the bathroom setup is practical; good water pressure, space to actually spread out your stuff. Food-wise, they’ve got options beyond the usual resort buffet situation, though I’ll be honest, the à la carte restaurants book up fast during peak season (November through March), so don’t wait around if you want to try them. The main restaurant does a decent job with both international and Egyptian dishes – their koshari is surprisingly good for a resort kitchen.

Location-wise, you’re close enough to Hurghada’s marina district to grab a taxi for dinner at one of the local fish restaurants (about 10 minutes, maybe 15 with traffic), but far enough from the main strip that you’re not dealing with constant noise from the street. The resort runs a shuttle to the shopping areas, which is handy because walking along El Corniche in the heat isn’t exactly pleasant. Parking’s plentiful if you’re renting a car, and the front desk staff – this is where the Marriott training really shows – can actually help you plan day trips to places like Luxor or the desert without just pushing the most expensive tour option.

Look, it’s not going to revolutionize your idea of what a beach resort can be, but it delivers on what you’re probably looking for: reliable comfort, genuine Red Sea access, and that sweet spot between resort amenities and easy access to the real Hurghada. That 8.4 rating feels about right – solidly excellent without being perfect.

The staff are very friendly and supportive.
The breakfast is not good as before.
The location is perfect and near to the city center.

What could be improved: Night life, nothing to do inside the hotel at night.

  • Charissa from United States – 6 May 2025 (8/10)

The location near the marina to catch my scuba liveaboard

What could be improved: The main pool was closed and I would have liked to have known that when booking.. they had a pool across the road next to the gym that was available for use but it was nothing like the pool I was expecting to be lying by.

Excellent breakfast and the staff is very kind and supportive, with attention to every single detail. The beach is beautiful and the dive center just in there is super confortable. Good value for money.

  • Asena from Switzerland – 27 April 2025 (9/10)

The beach was small but very nice. The staff were attentive and very helpful. I've got an update to a bigger room, which I appreciated a lot. The food was delicious.

    What could be improved: None

  • Jaume from Spain – 15 April 2025 (8/10)

    very nice situation

  • Ann from United Kingdom – 1 April 2025 (9/10)

Breakfast is one of the very best I have ever experienced, and have travelled quite a lot. So much choice, the same for evening meal too.

What could be improved: We ordered two salads from pool bar and they didn’t arrive for 50 mins. I could understand if they were busy with food, but didn’t see any other food going out. Reminded waiter, who said they were on the way after 30 mins. They didn’t arrive until I went to reception to complain.

An isolated instance, but believe the waiter on pool bar just kept fobbing us off. He wasn’t happy either when management spoke to him, he came over and told me I shouldn’t have complained to them!

  • Deepika from Belgium – 31 March 2025 (7/10)

Location was brilliant and more or less everything convenient

What could be improved: We were not informed that the main pool wasn’t working which was one of the things

  • Maged from Egypt – 20 March 2025 (7/10)

    Staff trying their best

What could be improved: Pool renovation
