Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first climbed up to the third floor of this apartment building on Marina Street – you know how some places look better in photos than reality. But stepping into Hurghada’s Marina view actually made me stop and just… wow. The whole front of the apartment opens up to this incredible view of the marina, and I mean you’re literally watching the boats bob around while you’re having your morning coffee.

The thing about staying right in Sekkala is that you’re sort of in the sweet spot of Hurghada – close enough to the marina action that you can walk down and grab dinner at those floating restaurants (the seafood is ridiculously fresh, by the way), but you’re up on the third floor so you don’t get all the street noise that can drive you crazy in other parts of town. I actually slept really well here, which doesn’t always happen when I’m staying near a port area. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room – there’s a proper kitchen if you want to grab groceries from the local market down the street, and the living area has this comfortable, lived-in feel that makes you want to just settle in for a while.

What really struck me was how the owner clearly knows this area inside and out. They had all these little touches that you only get when someone actually cares about the place – good WiFi (crucial for staying connected), proper air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and they’d stocked the basics so you don’t have to immediately run out shopping. The marina view isn’t just pretty to look at either; you can actually see what’s happening with the weather and water conditions if you’re planning diving trips or boat excursions. During sunset – and I’m not usually one for getting sentimental about sunsets – the whole marina lights up in this golden way that makes you understand why people fall in love with the Red Sea coast. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there; it’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should, without any of the usual travel headaches. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re living in Hurghada rather than just passing through, this spot gets it right.

  Apartment was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a week long stay. The location was great as it was walking distance to the beach, marina and Sheraton street. This was the best accommodation we had in our 1 month travelling in Egypt.

  From the moment we arrived we were greeted & welcomed by a lovely lady who checked us in & also checked us out when leaving

  Appartement très cosy, très bien situé, avec tout le confort. La pièce à vivre est top et lumineuse, avec balcon et vue sur la marina, grand canapé. La chambre principale est très confortable. On se sent bien.
  
  What could be improved: Un problème de pompe à eau, très ponctuel et contextuel, qui nous a empêché d'avoir de l'eau pendant une matinée. L'hôte a été très réactif et le problème a été réglé en moins de 24h. Un des lits de la chambre secondaire peu confortables.

  Die Wohnung hat mir sehr gut gefallen, sie war in einem sehr guten Zustand. Toilette, Küche, Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer waren in einem Top-Zustand.

  La localisation, à côté de tout à pieds, propriétaire au top. Superbe vue et bien équipé ( clim dans toutes les pièces, machine à laver le linge et étendoir sur le balcon).
