So I stumbled across Inter Prime apartment on Intercontinental Street during my last trip to Hurghada, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you don’t expect from a 3-star place. You know what I mean – sometimes the star ratings don’t tell the whole story. The building itself sits right on this busy stretch that locals actually use (not just tourist central), which I actually loved because you get a real feel for the city. There’s this great little bakery about two blocks down where they make fresh baladi bread every morning around 6 AM – the smell drifts up to the street and becomes your natural alarm clock.

What really struck me about the place was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was surprisingly smooth, and they actually remembered my name by the second day (rare for apartment-style places, honestly). The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some supposedly higher-end spots I’ve stayed at in the Red Sea area. The air conditioning runs quietly, thank goodness, because Hurghada can get brutally hot, especially during summer months. I mean, you’re going to want that AC running all night, and there’s nothing worse than a rattling unit keeping you awake. The kitchenette setup is pretty practical too – basic but sufficient if you want to grab groceries from the Carrefour down the street and save money on meals.

Location-wise, you’re actually in a sweet spot here. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the marina area where all the diving boats dock (perfect if you’re doing Red Sea trips), but far enough from the main hotel strip that you’re not dealing with constant tour bus noise. The street does get busy during evening hours when locals are heading home from work, but it settles down nicely after about 9 PM. Parking can be a bit tricky – there’s no dedicated lot, but there’s usually space along the side streets if you don’t mind walking a block or two. What I really appreciated was being close to actual Egyptian life rather than being stuck in some tourist bubble. The nearby restaurants serve real local food at local prices, and there’s a small market within walking distance where vendors actually remember repeat customers and might slip you extra fruit or give you the local price after a few visits. Sure, it’s not going to compete with the big resort chains for amenities, but if you want a clean, comfortable base that puts you in touch with real Hurghada rather than some sanitized version of it, Inter Prime delivers exactly that.
