Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of Red Sea resorts, and JAZ Makadi Saraya honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. When you first pull up (and yeah, parking is actually a breeze here), the place doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier spots along the Hurghada strip. It’s got this understated elegance thing going on that I really appreciated. You know what struck me first? How quiet it was. I mean, you’re still hearing the waves and people having fun, but it’s not that overwhelming chaos you get at some of the mega-resorts closer to downtown Hurghada.

The thing about Makadi Bay – and locals will tell you this – is that it’s far enough from the main tourist madness but close enough that you’re not stranded if you want to venture out. JAZ Makadi Saraya sits right in this sweet spot where you’ve got that pristine stretch of beach that honestly feels semi-private most days, especially if you wake up early. The sand here is that fine, almost-white stuff that doesn’t burn your feet at noon, and the coral reef is… well, it’s better than I expected. I’m not saying it’s Ras Mohammed level, but you’ll definitely see some decent fish without having to boat out somewhere. The dive center staff actually know their stuff too – they pointed me toward some spots I never would’ve found on my own.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (they had my room ready even though I arrived stupid early), and throughout the week, little things just worked. The restaurants rotate their menus enough that you’re not eating the same thing every night – though honestly, stick with the Egyptian dishes when you can, they’re miles better than the international attempts. The pools are well-maintained and there’s enough of them that you can find your vibe whether you want the family scene or something quieter. I spent most evenings on my balcony just watching the sun set over the water, and you know what? Sometimes the simple stuff is exactly what you need. The rooms themselves are spacious and actually stay cool without cranking the AC to arctic levels. If you’re looking for that authentic Egyptian hospitality without the tourist trap feeling, this place delivers. Just don’t expect cutting-edge nightlife – for that, you’ll want to head into Hurghada proper, but honestly, after a few days here, you might not want to leave.

  Everything, the room is spacious, nice and clean.
  
  Open buffet restaurants Sunflower and Nakheel are nice, food is delicious, of good quality and variability.
  
  The beach is amazing, sandy, wonderful corals.
  
  You will enjoy a lot the Aqua park with many entertaining rides.
  
  Above all is the staff, helpful, friendly and welcoming, specially Mohamed Said front office manager and Mr. Gergs the F&B manager.
  
  We had a problem with one of our rooms and Me. Said was very helpful.
  
  Also, we had some notes regarding the beverages and Mr. Gergis directly solved it.
  
  What could be improved: Some of the staff are not as friendly and supportive as others, but the management solves everything.

  The hotel is very nice , clean and staff are very welcoming .
  everything is near and available , pools are very nice , bars every where .
  aqua park in aquaviva hotel is very nice , around 8 minutes by shuttle bus .

  Overall, my stay was very pleasant. The room was spacious,more like a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette , dining area and a living room with a lovely terrace —which made it feel like home. The hotel has a 5-star classification, and it delivers in terms of comfort,entertainment and quality.
  
  What could be improved: I was disappointed that there was no gym or fitness club available on-site. Being directed to use a sister property’s gym for an extra charge doesn’t align with the expectations of a 5-star hotel, especially when fitness facilities are usually part of the standard amenities.

  What could be improved: – ACs in the room were old, erratic, and one kept leaking although they fixed it more than once
  – The food in the buffet wasn’t labeled for allergies so I think I ate several things that had gluten in them without knowing
  – Food & beverage staff were mostly grumpy and unhelpful at the main restaurant and at the pool/ beach.

  Everything was amazing! The resort is beautiful, clean, and full of life. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help — special thanks to Mr. Mohamed El Wakil at the reception for his warm welcome and great support, and to Mr. Mohamed Ismail, the hotel manager, who made sure everything was perfect during our stay. We also loved the animation team — they were energetic, fun, and made sure there was always something to enjoy for both kids and adults. The food was delicious, the pools were great, and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing.
