Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Juliana Beach Aqua park in Hurghada, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. It’s got that typical Red Sea resort vibe, you know? But once you actually get inside and see the waterpark setup, it starts making sense why this place has an 8.5 rating.

The aqua park is honestly the main draw here, and it’s not just some afterthought with a couple of slides. They’ve got this whole complex of waterslides that actually work (which, if you’ve been to Egypt before, you know isn’t always a given). The kids go absolutely mental for it, but I mean, I’m not gonna lie – I spent a good chunk of my afternoon on those slides too. What really surprised me was how well-maintained everything felt. The water’s clean, the slides aren’t falling apart, and there’s enough shade around the pool areas that you’re not constantly scrambling for cover from that brutal Hurghada sun.

The beach access is decent – it’s not like you’re right on the prime stretch of Hurghada’s coastline, but honestly, most of the good snorkeling spots are a boat ride away anyway. The hotel’s beach area is pretty quiet, which I actually preferred after dealing with the crowds at some of the bigger resorts down the coast. You’ve got your standard beach bar setup, and the staff there actually remembers your drink order after a day or two, which is a nice touch. Food-wise, it’s typical resort fare – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but the seafood is fresh (well, it better be this close to the Red Sea), and they do a surprisingly good job with the grilled fish at dinner. I will say the breakfast buffet gets pretty picked over if you show up after 9 AM, so set that alarm if you want the good stuff.

What really works about this place is that it knows what it is – a solid 4-star resort that’s built around families having fun in the water. The rooms are clean, the AC works (crucial in Hurghada’s heat), and you’re not paying those premium prices you’d shell out at the fancy places closer to the marina. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that standing around for hours nonsense. The only real downside is that if you’re planning to explore Hurghada’s nightlife or hit up the better restaurants in town, you’ll need to grab a taxi – but honestly, after a full day of waterslides and beach time, I was pretty content just hanging around the resort anyway. If you’re traveling with kids or just want a straightforward beach vacation without the fuss, this place delivers exactly what it promises.
