King Tut Aqua Park Beach Resort Overview
You know what surprised me most about King Tut Aqua Park Beach Resort? It’s actually one of those places that manages to feel both buzzing with activity and genuinely relaxing at the same time. I mean, when you first pull up to this 4-star spot in Al Wafaa – which is honestly one of the quieter stretches of Hurghada’s coastline – you’re hit with this sprawling complex that’s clearly designed around fun. The aqua park isn’t some afterthought bolted onto a regular hotel; it’s the main event, and honestly, it shows.
The beach access is what really sold me though. While most of Hurghada’s hotel strip can feel pretty crowded, especially during the European winter escape season, this section of coast still has some breathing room. The Red Sea here does that thing where it shifts from turquoise to deep blue about fifty meters out, and the snorkeling right off the beach is actually decent – not world-changing, but you’ll see parrotfish and the occasional ray without having to book a boat trip. The water slides are legitimately fun (I’m talking proper adrenaline, not kiddie stuff), though fair warning – they get packed around 11 AM when the families descend. If you’re into that scene, great, but if you prefer things mellower, hit the pools early or during the late afternoon lull.
What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know what they were doing. Check-in was smooth, the pool bar guys remembered drink orders, and housekeeping didn’t just dump fresh towels and run – small stuff, but it adds up over a week-long stay. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star in this part of Egypt: clean, AC that works (crucial in summer), and balconies that either face the sea or the pool complex. Pro tip though – if you’re a light sleeper, maybe avoid the pool-facing rooms during peak season because the music and splash sounds carry well into the evening. The restaurant situation is typical all-inclusive fare – not gourmet, but plenty of variety and the Egyptian dishes are actually pretty authentic when they do them. The shawarma guy at the poolside grill honestly makes better food than some of the main buffet stations.
Location-wise, you’re about a 15-minute ride from Hurghada’s main tourist drag, which means you can easily grab a taxi to hit the souks or that great seafood place everyone talks about near the marina, but you’re far enough out to avoid the constant hustle. The resort runs a shuttle to the downtown area, though it’s not super frequent. That 8.3 rating feels about right – this isn’t a luxury palace, but it’s a well-run place that knows its audience. Families love it for obvious reasons, but I’ve seen plenty of couples enjoying themselves too, especially if they grab those quieter beach spots in the morning or stake out the adults-only pool area.

Reviews of King Tut Aqua Park Beach Resort
Kevin from United States – 12 June 2025 (8/10)
the staff at the hotel is very good, from reception to the room service to the beach. Room was comfortable and clean. It was easy to find a place on the beach. The Red Sea is amazing.
What could be improved: WiFi only available in lobby. LTE/5G cell phone connection doesn’t work inside the room. All inclusive buffet could be better: overloaded with carbohydrates.Janine from Switzerland – 18 February 2025 (9/10)

Drinks could be betterMohamed from Finland – 8 January 2025 (8/10)
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, we were checked in earlier than the official time and they were very understanding. The food variety was very good and some specific buffet items were exceptional, otherwise it was fairly good. The aqua and its swimming pool were super fun, the water was warm as it was heated in winter time, they have multiple slides from which one was quite steep and fun to use, there are multiple bars around the resort which makes life easier e.g. you could get coffee or any drink right at the beach. The room was very spacious.
What could be improved: They only offered tea in the room, no instant or any other type of coffee, but anyways you can get coffee from any bar during their opening times. Personally I feel it's a bit too expensive for its overall service, other than that service was quite good.Marouane from Germany – 17 May 2024 (7/10)
The people are very kind, helpful, and very welcoming. I want to thank especially Mohamed Yousef for his service and honesty!
The aqua park is also great.
