Honestly, when I first climbed those five flights to reach this rooftop apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect – but wow, the view from up there completely changed my perspective on Hurghada. You’re literally in the heart of everything on Al-Basha Street, and I mean everything. The call to prayer from the mosque right across the street becomes this oddly comforting rhythm (though if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack some earplugs for the early morning ones).
What struck me most about this place was how it actually feels like staying in someone’s home rather than a typical hotel room. The apartment has this lived-in comfort that you don’t get in those sterile resort complexes down by the water. From the rooftop terrace – and this is where the magic really happens – you get these incredible panoramic views over the city that change completely depending on the time of day. Sunset up there? Absolutely perfect. The owner clearly knows what they’re doing with the space, and you can tell they’ve thought about the little things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two. The kitchen is actually functional (rare in vacation rentals, trust me), and the whole setup works whether you want to grab street food from the vendors below or cook something yourself.
Location-wise, you’re going to love how connected you feel to actual Hurghada life. Sure, it’s not beachfront, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The Takseem Emtedad area puts you right where locals shop and eat, and you’ll find yourself discovering those hole-in-the-wall places that serve incredible food for a fraction of resort prices. Getting to the marina or the main tourist areas takes maybe 10-15 minutes by taxi, but honestly, I found myself spending more time just wandering the neighborhood and soaking up the real atmosphere. The building itself is solid – typical Egyptian construction with thick walls that keep things cool during the day – though the elevator can be a bit temperamental, so consider it part of the authentic experience. For a three-star place, it punches way above its weight in terms of character and that genuine local feel you can’t manufacture.

Appartement vaste, moderne et bien équipé, adapté aux occidentaux, grand confort, belle décoration, très propre, agréable à vivre, wifi super, balcon, beaucoup de consommables. Proche de l'animation.
What could be improved: Ascenseur ne fonctionnant pas lors de mon séjour, appartement au 5 eme étage !
Les parties communes de l'immeuble sont peu entrenues.
