Honestly, when I first pulled up to La Vi – Panorama Sea, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place on the Hurghada-Safaga road. I mean, that stretch can be pretty hit-or-miss with hotels, but this one actually surprised me in the best way possible. The name says it all really – you get these sweeping sea views that honestly rival some of the pricier resorts further north in Hurghada proper.

What struck me right away was how the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests, not just going through the motions like at some of the bigger chain places. The lobby’s got this relaxed vibe – nothing fancy, but clean and welcoming with those typical Egyptian touches that feel authentic rather than touristy. You know what really won me over though? The way they handle the whole Red Sea experience here. Since you’re a bit south of the main Hurghada chaos, the beach feels more… I don’t know, genuine? Less crowded for sure. The snorkeling right off the shore is actually pretty decent – saw some decent coral formations and the usual suspects fish-wise, though obviously it’s not Ras Mohammed or anything.

The rooms are solid for what you’re paying – I stayed in one of the sea-view ones (definitely worth the upgrade if you can swing it), and waking up to that endless blue every morning never got old. Air conditioning works well, which is crucial during those scorching summer months when Hurghada turns into an oven. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly reliable too, which honestly can be a gamble in this part of Egypt. One thing to note – if you’re planning to explore Hurghada’s main strip with all the restaurants and nightlife, you’re looking at maybe a 20-minute taxi ride. But that distance is also kind of a blessing because you get the peace and quiet, especially in the evenings when the main tourist areas can get pretty hectic. The hotel restaurant does decent Egyptian and international food, nothing groundbreaking but satisfying after a day in the sun.

What really impressed me was that 9.3 rating – it makes sense once you’re there. It’s one of those places that just gets the basics right without trying to be something it’s not. The pool area’s lovely for afternoon lounging, the beach access is straightforward, and there’s enough going on to keep you entertained without feeling overwhelmed. Perfect for couples wanting a quieter Red Sea experience or families who want to actually relax rather than deal with resort crowds. Just remember to bring reef shoes if you plan on doing any swimming – the entry can be a bit rocky, typical for this coastline.

  The apartment is truly on the level of 5 star hotel accommodation, the furniture is new and clean, the appliances are all new and working perfectly, kitchen utensils are available to cover most cooking needs, the host was also kind enough to stock the bathrooms with soap and towels and the kitchen with tea and sugar, the host was also very courteous and polite, the beds and sheets were very clean as well, the environment is also quiet which is a plus, i would definitely like to come again
  
  What could be improved: There are few nearby markets and they dont stock much which would mean the need for a car ride to get supplies but that was not a big issue

  A nice & cosy apartment with nice view. Two bathroom, two rooms with terrace for each. the apartment is new.. Great led lights, new appliances.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom need some maintenance and there is some ants (maybe because the building is new). The living area need more than one sofa.

  Wir waren das zweite Mal bei La Vie Resort. Wir lieben die Lage. Khaled ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er holte uns vom Flughafen ab und führte uns wieder zurück. Das Apartment ist geräumig und schön eingerichtet.
  
  What could be improved: Der eine Boiler war leider kaputt und die Kloschüssel hatte einen Sprung.

  Wir wurden von dem Flughafen abgeholt und bekamen eine Führung durch die Innenstadt. Auch fuhr der Gastgeber mit uns Geld wechseln und war sehr entgegenkommen. Die Lage war top und das Apartment ein Traum. Es war geräumig, ordentlich und sehr schön eingerichtet. Wir wollen unbedingt wieder kommen!
