You know what struck me first about the Ladybird at Veranda Highline? It’s not trying to be something it isn’t. This 3-star spot in Sahl Hasheesh has this refreshingly honest vibe – it’s comfortable without pretending to be luxury, and honestly, that’s exactly what some trips call for. The location is actually pretty smart if you know the area; you’re tucked into the Veranda development which means you get that newer infrastructure feel, but you’re not paying those insane Red Sea resort prices that’ll make your wallet weep. The staff genuinely seemed to care when I checked in (none of that robotic “welcome to paradise” nonsense), and parking was straightforward – which, if you’ve ever driven around Hurghada during peak season, you’ll appreciate.

Here’s the thing about this place that I didn’t expect: the communal areas actually work. I mean, you know how some hotels have those awkward lobby spaces where nobody ever sits? Not here. There’s this natural flow to how people use the space, maybe because it’s sized right for the property. The pool area gets busy around 10 AM when families start filtering down, but early morning? It’s yours. The rooms are what you’d expect – clean, functional, with that slightly dated charm that somehow feels more authentic than cookie-cutter modern. Air conditioning works (crucial in Egypt, obviously), and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses some places think tourists deserve. I did notice some minor wear around the edges – door handles that stick a bit, bathroom fixtures that have seen better days – but nothing that ruins the experience.

What really sells this place for me is the access to Sahl Hasheesh without the premium price tag. You’re a short walk from some genuinely beautiful beaches, and the area has developed enough that you’ve got decent restaurants within walking distance, not just the typical hotel restaurant options. The 7.2 rating makes sense – it’s not going to blow you away, but it’s not going to disappoint either. It’s that sweet spot of solid value where you feel like you made a smart choice rather than either overpaying or settling for something sketchy. If you’re the type who spends most of your time out exploring anyway and just needs a reliable base with decent amenities, this works. The Veranda area itself is quieter than central Hurghada (which can get pretty chaotic), so you’ll actually sleep at night, but you’re not so isolated that getting around becomes a hassle.

  The Apartment was great and they followed us up for our arrival/departure which i think is important.
  
  What could be improved: The location is a little bit far from the marina and the view isn’t that great due to being still under construction.

  Мы приехали ночью о чем два раза писали в отель. Они давали нам положительные ответы также когда мы спрашивали что больше всего нас волнует что это середина ночи наше прибытие и просили мы о ключах от комнаты нас уверяли что оставят ключи. В итоге проехав от аэропорта несколько десятков километров на такси на пропускном пункте после 40 минут разбирательства кто мы …..причем совершенно не профессионально мы получаем от охраны их отказ в предоставлении жилья по каким то их внутренним причинам. Нам об этом сообщат только на следующие сутки и мы были вынуждены просится ночью в другой отель. Извинения ни в какой форме вовремя мы не получили. Я от стрессовой ситуации нахожусь сейчас в госпитале Хургаде и получаю медицинскую помощь. Я считаю это крайне недопустимо делать с клиентами!!! Лена 22 февраля 2025
