You know what really struck me about Lazur Sea & City Apartment’s when I first pulled up on Elhadaba Road? It doesn’t try to be something it’s not. I mean, this isn’t some flashy resort complex – it’s actually better than that. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something the locals know about, tucked away in El Hadaba where the real Hurghada starts to show itself.

The thing about staying here is you’re genuinely in the neighborhood, not stuck in some tourist bubble. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that makes these incredible baladi bread rounds early in the morning – honestly, the smell drifting through the streets around 6 AM is better than any alarm clock. The apartments themselves have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake. My unit had these big windows that actually opened (novel concept, right?) so you could hear the city waking up, but it wasn’t obnoxiously loud or anything. The AC worked great during those brutal afternoon hours when stepping outside feels like opening an oven door.

What I really appreciated was how the staff just… gets it. Check-in was smooth, no weird bureaucratic nonsense, and when I mentioned I was looking for a decent shawarma place that wasn’t completely touristy, the guy at the desk gave me actual directions to this spot where taxi drivers eat – you know you’ve found gold when that happens. The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be a five-star palace, but everything works the way it should. The wifi didn’t cut out during video calls, the hot water was consistent, and there’s decent parking if you’re brave enough to drive in Hurghada (which, honestly, I don’t recommend unless you’re used to creative interpretations of traffic laws).

Being in El Hadaba means you’re close enough to walk to the corniche when you want that Red Sea breeze, but far enough from the main hotel strip that you’re not dealing with constant tour bus noise. I’d usually grab coffee from the little ahwa around the corner in the mornings – proper Turkish coffee, not that instant stuff – and just watch the neighborhood come alive. The whole area has this authentic rhythm that you miss when you’re staying in the more sanitized parts of town. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to actually experience a place rather than just pass through it, Lazur hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Clean hotel with great terrace and access to local restaurants in the area. The staff are lovely, and great thanks to Kadem in the reception who was very attentive and helpful. This place is a safe bet and has access to a great beach nearby.

  A fantastic hotel with good services, duty of care, special thanks to Mr. Moustafa in reception for ensuring the stay was comfortable and hats off to the magician in the kitchen, Chef Gamal who made scrumptious food. The access to different beaches a short walk away was a breath of fresh air. Proximity to Tito's evening beach bar was a perfect culmination of happiness after a lazy beach day.
  
  What could be improved: The only minor issue was the uphill climb to the road (which is still under construction) otherwise, everything else was amazing
