You know what struck me first about L’Oasis de Safaga? The name actually makes sense once you’re there. I mean, driving down that Hurghada-Safaga road for about 8 kilometers, you’re basically watching the landscape get more and more desert-like, and then boom – there’s this little pocket of green and blue that feels like, well, an oasis. It’s not trying to be fancy (it’s a solid 3-star place), but honestly, the location does half the work for them. You’re far enough from Hurghada’s chaos to actually hear yourself think, but close enough that you can still grab a taxi into town if you want the full tourist experience. The Red Sea is right there, and I’m talking like a 2-minute walk to some pretty decent snorkeling spots that most people don’t even know about.

The thing about this place is that it gets the basics right without any unnecessary drama. Check-in was smooth – none of that “your room isn’t ready even though it’s 4 PM” nonsense. The rooms are clean and functional, though don’t expect Instagram-worthy interiors. What you do get is proper air conditioning (crucial in this heat), decent water pressure, and windows that actually open if you want that Red Sea breeze. The pool area is where people tend to hang out most, and for good reason – it’s got this relaxed vibe where you can actually read a book without someone trying to sell you a camel ride every five minutes. I noticed they keep the grounds pretty well maintained, which isn’t always a given at this price point in the area.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the staff genuinely knows the area. Ask them about diving spots or where to get good koshari, and you’ll get real answers, not just the standard tourist traps. The restaurant food is decent (not amazing, but you won’t go hungry), and they do a solid job with the Egyptian breakfast spread. Parking is easy and free, which saves you the headache of dealing with street parking. The only thing that might bug some people is that it can get pretty quiet in the evenings – this isn’t a party hotel by any stretch. But honestly, after a day of sun and swimming, that turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The 7.5 rating feels about right – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what it promises without breaking the bank.

  Saïd is a fantastic host, he really took care of us during our stay. He was very kind and helpful and even offered us a ride into town.
  
  At the end of our stay he did not even want a tip. We had to practicly force him to take it 🙂
  
  His restaurant was under construction because he was renovating it. We got an elaborate breakfast served at our room. We had to leave early (6am) but he didn't mind serving breakfast at 5:30am. Thank you Saïd!

  On request they made all what we wanted and needed, also with the dinner to organise a dessert that we wanted.
  Room was recently updated and comfortable. Hotel representative was very helpfull and nice.
  
  What could be improved: There were some updates and refurbishments going on which is actual a disturbance but for sure for the future it will be positive.

  La interacción con la gente del Hotel y la amabilidad. Experimentar ser un Local, socializar con los dueños. Llegar solo y de repente ser uno más de los que están reunidos ahí. También que hay una playa pública muy bonita,solo 8 minutos caminando, que se puede hacer snorkel y que vi hoy dos tortugas marinas gigantes
  
  What could be improved: No hay nada que no me haya gustado, no es un hotel de lujo, es más bien apartamentos grandes y cómodos. Buena internet y una atención muy amable. El precio es económico. La gente más que hamable.

  Sayed nous a accueillies comme des reines! Il est très ponctuel, très serviable et très arrangeant. Il nous a déposé en ville pour nous rendre service, est allé faire une course et il est toujours disponible pour répondre au moindre problème. Jolie vue sur la mer et excellent rapport qualité/prix
  
  What could be improved: Le seul bémol est qu'il n'y a rien dans la cuisine donc pas la peine de compter dessus pour faire à manger mais il y a d'excellents restaus pas chers juste à côté donc pas de problème 🙂
