Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Luxurious One Bedroom Apartment” as the name, I rolled my eyes a bit. But you know what? This place in Hurghada actually lives up to its bold title, and that 9.8 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense.

The location is what really got me. It’s tucked away in a quieter part of Hurghada, which means you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of motorbikes and street vendors that can drive you crazy in the main tourist strips. I mean, you’re still close enough to everything – the corniche is maybe a 10-minute walk, and there’s this little local coffee shop around the corner where the owner makes the most incredible Turkish coffee (seriously, ask for Ahmed, he’ll take care of you). The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room. The bedroom is actually spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re living out of a suitcase, and there’s this nice sitting area where I ended up spending most evenings planning the next day’s diving trips. The air conditioning works properly – and trust me, in Hurghada’s heat, that’s not always a given even in fancier places.

What surprised me most was how quiet it gets at night. During the day you’ll hear some street sounds, but after about 9 PM it’s peaceful enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open if you want that Red Sea breeze. The owner clearly knows what travelers need too – there’s a proper kitchenette (not just a mini-fridge and hope), decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and honestly, the bed is more comfortable than what I have at home. The whole place feels clean without that overpowering bleach smell some accommodations hit you with. I stayed during shoulder season in April, and while I can’t speak to how it handles the crazy summer crowds, the check-in was smooth and the owner was actually helpful with restaurant recommendations (skip the touristy places on Sheraton Road, he said, and he was right). For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight. The only tiny complaint I’d have is that the shower pressure could be stronger, but that’s pretty much standard for this part of Egypt. If you’re looking for something that feels like a real home base rather than just a place to crash between excursions, and you don’t need a pool or room service, this apartment delivers exactly what it promises.
