The space itself is surprisingly generous for a 3-star property. Three proper bedrooms spread across what feels like an actual home rather than your typical hotel setup. The layout reminds me of those Mediterranean-style places you’d find in coastal Spain, with that open-plan living area that actually makes sense when you’re traveling with family or a group of friends. I particularly appreciated the kitchen – it’s not just a kitchenette thrown in as an afterthought, but something you could genuinely use if you wanted to grab fresh fish from the local market and cook it yourself. The air conditioning works well too, which, let’s be honest, is non-negotiable in Hurghada’s heat.
What I really loved was how quiet it gets at night. Tawilla doesn’t have the party scene you’ll find closer to the marina, so you can actually sleep with the windows open and hear the gentle lapping of the lagoon water. The morning coffee on the terrace became my daily ritual – there’s this view across the water where you can watch the kitesurfers getting ready for their day, and if you’re up early enough, you’ll catch the local fishermen heading out. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main Abu Tig Marina area, which sounds like nothing until you’re doing it in the midday sun, but honestly, the golf cart shuttles run regularly and the drivers are friendly. The property management was actually pretty responsive too – when our shower pressure was acting up on day two, they had someone over within the hour. That 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider the value proposition here. You’re getting space, location, and that residential feel without paying marina-front prices. The only minor gripe I’d have is that the WiFi can be spotty in the upstairs bedrooms, but it works fine in the main living areas. If you’re the type who needs to stay constantly connected, just heads up on that. For families or groups who want to experience El Gouna without the tourist bubble intensity, this townhouse hits that sweet spot perfectly.

The house was great and spacious. Pool access was great. The location of the house was also in a very quiet place overlooking the lagoon. Hosts were very helpful and responsive.
