Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Cyan ElGouna” on the booking site, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? This villa completely caught me off guard in the best possible way. The moment you walk into this 4-bedroom spot, it’s clear someone actually put thought into making it feel like a proper home rather than just another rental property. The space is genuinely spacious – and I mean actually spacious, not that cramped “cozy” nonsense you usually get.

What really won me over was how it sits in El Gouna itself. If you’ve never been to this little pocket of the Red Sea coast, it’s basically Egypt’s answer to a Mediterranean resort town, but with way better weather and none of the crowds. The villa’s location in the Cyan development means you’re close enough to walk to the marina area (maybe 10 minutes if you’re not rushing), but far enough that you won’t hear the late-night revelry from the bars. The whole El Gouna setup is pretty brilliant actually – it’s like someone took the best parts of a European seaside town and plopped it down next to some of the world’s best diving spots. From the villa, you can easily get to the kitesurfing areas if that’s your thing, or just hop on one of those little tuk-tuks that buzz around everywhere.

The villa itself handles four bedrooms without feeling cramped, which is honestly rare. Each room has decent AC – crucial in this heat, trust me – and the common areas actually encourage you to hang out rather than hide in your room. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. This matters because while El Gouna has decent restaurants, sometimes you want to grab fresh fish from the local market and cook it yourself. The outdoor space is where this place really shines though. There’s something about having your morning coffee while looking out over the Red Sea landscape that just works. Sure, it’s not directly beachfront, but honestly, the beaches in El Gouna are all pretty accessible anyway, and you’ll probably want to try different spots rather than being stuck with whatever’s right outside your door. The 8.7 rating makes perfect sense once you spend a few days here – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just… works. And in a place where you’re mostly going to be out exploring coral reefs or wandering through the town’s surprisingly good art galleries, that’s exactly what you want.

  Beautiful Villa, well furnished & serene calm spot. Heated pool, I bumped the review from a solid 9 to 10. Because of the amazing communication with the owner and house manager whom respond promptly and are keen on helping in any way.

  The location is nice, and the pool was great, but you had to figure out the lights and how to put on the jacuzzi jets on your own.
  
  What could be improved: Don’t get me started, the person making the check in was in too much of a hurry, that you had to discover everything on your own. There wasn’t at least a towel/person. There were no pillow cases for the extra pillows. The villa was not clean with dust all over and ants, but thank god, it was limited to terrace and kitchen. Had a plumbing issue as the ground floor toilet was flooded and had to stay with first plumber whom couldn’t fix the issue; then they sent others with house keeping as it was a mess; and we were told not to use this toilet/shower and use the driver/maid’s shower outside?! There wasn’t a hanger in toilet/ shower to hang your clothes or towel. Bedroom AC’s despite working well and looking new, made breaking and banging sounds throughout the night. Mattress and pillows, well, for such a place you need to reconsider dumping those. The ground room looking supposedly on the small garden with artificial lawn, had the lawn piled and looked like a construction site.
