Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place in Al Fondok – the address looks like a jumbled mess of numbers and codes, and let’s be real, finding apartment 105 on the second floor of Nessim Heights took some wandering around. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones hiding in plain sight.

The “Luxury City Center” part of the name isn’t just marketing fluff – this one-bedroom suite actually delivers on that promise, even if it’s technically a 3-star spot. I mean, the 8.7 rating makes sense once you’re inside. The space feels way more generous than typical hotel rooms in Hurghada, and there’s something refreshing about having a proper living area where you can actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. The bedroom’s got decent natural light (important when you’re trying to shake off that Red Sea vacation jet lag), and the little kitchenette area is surprisingly well-equipped – not that you’ll be cooking much with all the incredible seafood spots nearby, but it’s nice knowing you can grab some fresh fruit from the local markets and have somewhere to prep it.

What really won me over was the location itself. Al Fondok isn’t the flashiest neighborhood, but that’s actually part of its charm – you’re close enough to walk to the main tourist areas when you want that scene, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant noise from hotel entertainment programs and tour groups at all hours. The building’s pretty quiet too, which is honestly a blessing after spending days on busy dive boats or exploring the souks. Check-in was straightforward once I figured out the building layout, and the staff actually seemed to know the area well enough to give decent recommendations beyond the usual tourist traps. Parking’s not a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven around Egyptian resort towns will appreciate. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the Wi-Fi can be spotty (though that might be a feature, not a bug, depending on how much you want to disconnect). But for the price point and the space you get, especially if you’re planning to use Hurghada as a base for Red Sea diving or day trips rather than just lounging poolside, this place makes a lot of sense. It’s got that lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than just another cookie-cutter resort experience.

  Wij vonden het appartement als gezin van 3 (met een baby) echt super fijn! Er is beveiliging aanwezig 24/7 in het gebouw en een lift wat heel handig was. Alles zag er netjes en verzorgd uit en de eigenaar houdt heel fijn contact, ook voor wanneer de schoonmaakster langs moet komen. Het verblijf was zo fijn,, dat we zelf voorkeur geven aan dit appartement dan een resort waar we vorige keer verbleven. Echt een aanrader voor iedereen!
  
  What could be improved: Er viel niet veel tegen, maar als we iets moeten benoemen is dat het appartement ligt op een grote zandheuvel, wat de weg ernaartoe lastig maakt vooral met een kinderwagen. Gelukkig kan je met een uber een makkelijkere toegang hebben via een andere weg. Daarnaast is er geen glazen deur rondom de douche, waardoor het water al snel op de vloer komt, maar dit is makkelijk op te lossen met het neerleggen van handdoeken. Al met al, hebben we enorm genoten van ons verblijf!

  Très bonne localisation, à la fois proche du centre ville et calme, bien que les rues extérieures soient sales.
  Appartement spacieux, bien décoré et moderne. Sûrement l'un des plus beaux que j'ai pu faire en Egypte (beau ne veut pas dire luxueux).
  Bon rapport qualité prix.
  
  What could be improved: Salle de bain vétuste (aucun meuble, pas de rideau de douche, on doit donc passer un coup de raclette au sol et là surprise l'eau est marron (propreté pas top)). Ce n'est pas "luxueux" tel qu'indiqué dans le titre.
  Aucun équipement suffisant pour la cuisine, nous voulions acheter du poisson au marché, nous avons laissé tomber (pas de fond dans le four, pas de plat, 1 seul verre, aucun condiment… juste 2 Sachets de café donc même pas assez pour le nombre de nuit passé.
