Honestly, when I first pulled up to Al Dau Heights, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place – but this spot completely changed my mind about what self-catering can be in Hurghada. The building sits right in the Al Fondok area, which locals will tell you is actually one of the quieter parts of town, away from the crazy tourist strip but close enough that you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere.

What really got me was how thoughtfully these apartments are set up. I mean, you walk into these studios and they’ve actually got everything you need – proper kitchenettes with decent-sized fridges (not those tiny hotel mini-bars), stovetops that work, and enough counter space to actually prep a meal. The owners clearly get that people staying here want to live a bit, not just crash between beach days. My studio had this little balcony that caught the morning sun perfectly, and you know what? The Wi-Fi was surprisingly solid throughout the place, which matters when you’re trying to stay connected or upload those Red Sea photos. The air conditioning works well too – crucial during those sweltering summer months when Hurghada turns into an oven.

Location-wise, you’re about a 10-minute walk to some decent local restaurants where you’ll actually see Egyptian families eating, not just tour groups. There’s a small grocery store practically next door where the owner, Ahmed, speaks pretty good English and stocks both local produce and some international basics if you’re missing familiar brands. The beach access isn’t right on your doorstep, but honestly, the local beaches here are way less crowded than the resort areas, and a short taxi ride gets you to the better snorkeling spots near the marina. Parking was never an issue – there’s space around the building, which anyone who’s driven in Hurghada will appreciate. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions, and they gave me actual useful tips about avoiding the tourist traps downtown. Sure, it’s not luxury in the marble-lobby sense, but for the price point and that 9.5 rating? It makes total sense once you’re there.

  Clean and comfortable, attention to every tiny detail, fast internet, very helpful hosts. The apartment complex has a secluded pool with cozy surroundings. Despite the blocks nearby are under construction, this doesn’t affect the vibe in any bad way. Very good location: not far from the airport and marina, and El Kawser neighborhood, Gomla market etc. are accessible by foot
  
  What could be improved: The mall and promenade are a bit underpopulated, probably because the whole area is still being actively developed, and food in the restaurants there are overpriced and not of the best quality. To get good food you need to walk 0.5-1km in any direction or take a taxi which is extremely cheap

  Really enjoyed staying here for two nights with my husband. The place was very clean and had everything you needed. Electric stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher. Which made it very convenient for us since Hurghada was only part of our vacation in Egypt. Excellent customer service. Atef and Zee were very kind and had no problem accommodating our late check out due to our flight home being at 9:30. They also made sure we had everything we needed and more. The place has a beautiful pool in the complex aswell as stores, restaurants and excursions close by. I would highly recommend this place, i will definitely be back. Thank you!

  The location was great, you have the access directly to the mall which is located within the complex.
  The attention from the hosts is simply speechless. They were so kind and solve all our questions every time.
  They received us in the apartment with some amenities (fruit, water and some crisps).

  Cozy and super clean apartments with all kinds of cleaning and hygiene products available. Nice view of the pool. A big surprise for us was the welcome food and drink in the room: a bowl of fruit, sweets, pastries, tea, coffee and
  water, juice, energy drink, yogurts and jams in the fridge. We were well taken care of. Very good communication with Mrs. Laura and Mr. Atef. Mr. Atef is very willing and helpful with any problem, which he solves immediately. He is a very responsible and indispensable person. A few minutes taxi ride to the Sheraton for shopping and restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: Very cold pool. Construction noise from 2 adjacent buildings (future new apartments), so it was not possible to relax much by the pool during the day. No noise was heard inside the apartment. Noisy air conditioning in the studio.

  lovely apartment. The smart TV was a bonus, as was fast broadband. Nice pool towels to use and some very welcome food and drinks. We were met at the apartment, which was great.
  
  It was good to have communication from the owner, who was kind enough to give us an early check in and late check out.
  
  What could be improved: Bedside tables and some cushions for the sun beds by the pool would be a nice addition
