I’ve stayed at my fair share of three-star places in El Gouna, and this one-bedroom unit in the Mangroovy Residence has that sweet spot combination of being genuinely comfortable without trying too hard to impress you.

The Hilton pool view they mention isn’t just marketing fluff – you actually get a proper sight line to the Hilton’s pool area, which is kind of brilliant because you get to watch all the action without dealing with the crowds. El Gouna can get pretty hectic during peak season (I’m talking December through February), but this spot feels tucked away enough that you’re not constantly hearing jet skis and beach volleyball games. The bedroom setup is smart too – they’ve got this little seating area that catches the morning light perfectly, and the AC actually works well, which… well, anyone who’s spent a summer in Hurghada knows that’s not always a given.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve handled the details. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Tamr Henna Plaza down the road instead of eating out every meal. The bathroom has decent water pressure – again, not something you can take for granted in this area.
