The moment you walk into this one-bedroom at the M3 residence, there’s this lovely loggia – basically a covered outdoor space – that frames the Gouna lagoon views perfectly. I mean, you’re not getting Red Sea panoramas here, but watching the early morning light hit those turquoise channels while you’re having coffee? That’s the El Gouna magic right there.

What I actually love about this spot is how it sits in the resort community without feeling totally isolated from real life. You know how some places in Gouna can feel like you’re trapped in a bubble? Well, Mangroovy strikes this nice balance where you’ve got the manicured resort vibes but you can still walk to the downtown area – and I’m talking about the actual downtown with the mosque and local shops, not just the touristy marina. The apartment itself is clean and well-maintained (honestly better than some 4-star places I’ve crashed in Hurghada), with that Mediterranean-meets-modern Egyptian style that works really well in the desert heat. The AC actually works properly – which, trust me, matters more than marble countertops when it’s 40 degrees outside.

Here’s the thing though – and this is something you won’t get from the booking photos – the sound carries differently here depending on where you are in the complex. The loggia faces away from the main road, so you get these peaceful mornings, but there can be some noise from other units in the evening when families are out on their terraces. Nothing terrible, just… you know, people being people. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me because it delivers on what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. It’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done. Plus, honestly, for El Gouna accommodation that doesn’t cost a fortune, you’re getting solid value here. The kitchen is actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Tamr Henna market, and that loggia becomes your favorite room by day three – I spent more time out there than inside, watching the boats drift by and feeling like I’d found this perfect little pocket of calm. If you’re looking for that authentic Gouna experience without the resort hotel markup, this place gets it right.

  It’s described as Marina View….. but it overlooks a building site and the sea beyond. ( M10 3a 14)
  Close to 2 swimming pools… although they were pretty cold unless you were actually swimming.

  The unit’s proximity to the supermarket, pharmacy, and beach is highly desirable.
