The condo sits right in the Mangroovy Residence complex, which is actually perfectly positioned if you know El Gouna at all. You’re close enough to the marina that you can hear the gentle clinking of boat masts when the wind picks up (which, let’s be honest, happens pretty much every evening), but far enough from the main strip that you’re not dealing with the late-night party crowd stumbling around. The sparkling part of the name? Well, they’re not exaggerating – whoever manages this place clearly takes the cleaning seriously. I walked in expecting the usual vacation rental mustiness, but everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The kitchen actually had sharp knives and decent pots, which you know is rare in these places.

What really won me over was how the space feels like someone actually lives there, not just another sterile rental unit. There’s this great little balcony where I ended up having my morning coffee every day, watching the golf carts putter by (because that’s how everyone gets around El Gouna – forget regular cars). The bedroom gets this amazing cross-breeze if you open the right windows, and trust me, you’ll figure out which ones pretty quickly in the Egyptian heat. Parking was never an issue – there’s plenty of space in the complex, and security was friendly but not hovering. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re planning to walk to downtown El Gouna, it’s totally doable but bring comfortable shoes because you’ll be doing it on sandy paths, and at night you’ll want a small flashlight since some stretches get pretty dark. But honestly, most people just hop in a tuk-tuk anyway – they’re everywhere and cost basically nothing.
