Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Mangroovy 2BR with roof” I thought it was a typo, but it actually captures the vibe perfectly. This place sits right in El Gouna’s Mangroovy area, and you know what? The slightly quirky name makes sense once you’re there. It’s got this laid-back, almost playful energy that matches the whole El Gouna scene.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious – two proper bedrooms that don’t feel cramped, which is honestly refreshing after staying in some of those “cozy” places that are basically glorified closets. But here’s the thing that really sets it apart: that rooftop access they mention isn’t just marketing fluff. I mean, you can actually spend time up there, and the Red Sea views are… well, let’s just say I ended up having my morning coffee there every single day. The breeze hits different when you’re above the palm trees, and during sunset hours (around 6 PM in winter, closer to 7 in summer), it’s genuinely magical without being too touristy-postcard-perfect, if that makes sense.

What I really appreciated was how it strikes this balance between being in the action but not overwhelmed by it. You’re close enough to the marina and Tamr Henna Square that you can walk there – maybe 8-10 minutes at a leisurely pace – but far enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night music and crowds when you want to sleep. The neighborhood has that residential feel where you’ll see families and long-term residents, not just tourists stumbling around. Parking was never an issue, which honestly surprised me because El Gouna can get pretty busy, especially during the European winter months when everyone’s escaping the cold. The building itself is well-maintained without being flashy – you know, the kind of place that feels like someone actually cares about it rather than just extracting maximum profit from tourists. Check-in was smooth, and the owner clearly knows the area well enough to give you those insider tips about which restaurants are worth it and which beach clubs are overpriced. The AC works properly (crucial in summer, obviously), and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in rather than living out of a suitcase. For a 3-star place pulling an 8.6 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for – comfortable, genuine, and connected to the real El Gouna experience without the resort markup.

  Perfect for a family vacation due it’s convenient location with swimming pools and a beach which is a walking distance away
  Very clean with great furniture and excellent assistance from Basem who was very helpful and friendly

  I don’t usually write reviews but in this instance I will make an excerption..
  Ease of communication with the owner, although I made a last minute booking he went above and beyond to sort entry into El Gouna. He responded promptly to all my questions and arranged for the property manager to meet me onsite and be on-hand in case of any issues.
  
  Check-in was straight forward. Property exactly as shown in the pictures. As soon as I walked through the door I felt very relaxed and at home.

  Spaceous and clean apartment in a modern housing estate. Great views from roof top tarrace. We found everything we needed in the apartment, incl. a well equipped kitchen. A giant pool landscape is right in front of the house, and the private beach only a few minutes walk. The communication with the host was very easy and fast. Very conveniently located: walking disctance to beaches, surf spots and the marina and a short Tuktuk ride to the city center. We spent a perfect family vacation, and are already planning our return!

  “The place was really nice, and the location was great, but the bathrooms weren’t clean. There was hair everywhere! It was blocking the shower and the ceiling in the inner bathroom was leaking. Also, there was no soap in any of the bathrooms or shampoo.

  Нам организовали встречу в аэропорту и трансфер до Mangroovy. Там встретили и отвели прямо номер, всё показали. Несмотря на то, что рейс задержался на два часа, всё было, как обещано.
  Апартаменты просторные, удачно расположенные. Тихо. Близко супермаркет. Хозяин был доступен по WhatsApp, но проблем не возникало.

  Waren schöne Tage. Für ägyptische Verhältnisse recht sauber. Dachterrasse haben wir nicht genutzt. Kleine aber gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sehr nah vorhanden. Zur KBC-Station kann man sogar zu Fuß gehen.
  
  What could be improved: Der Zugang zum Appartement war durch die Hotel-Baustelle nebenan etwas eingeschränkt, die Baustelle selbst hat uns aber lärmmäßig nicht gestört und war auch nur auf der Rückseite etwas zu sehen. Der Wasserkocher war nicht mehr der neueste.

  Appartement bien situé , propre , spacieux et confortable , superbe piscine , supermarché à 2 pas , tranquilité et bon organisation à l arrivée , quelqu un nous attendait et à porté mon gros bagage .
