Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Marena Hurghada? It’s actually positioned perfectly on Sheraton Road – and I mean that in a way that matters. You’re close enough to the main strip that you can walk to decent restaurants and shops, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant traffic noise that plagued my last stay at a different hotel closer to the main drag.

The place has this sort of understated confidence that I really appreciated. It’s not trying to be the flashiest resort on the Red Sea, but honestly, that works in its favor. The lobby feels welcoming without being over-the-top, and check-in was refreshingly smooth – no weird upselling attempts or confusing explanations about resort fees. What I loved most was how the staff seemed to actually know the area. When I asked about good local spots for seafood (away from the touristy places), the front desk guy immediately mentioned this little place about ten minutes down the coast that ended up being incredible. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t fake.

The rooms themselves are well thought out – I mean, you can tell someone actually considered how travelers use the space. There’s enough outlets near the bed, the bathroom has proper water pressure (crucial after a day of diving), and the balcony setup actually encourages you to sit outside instead of just being decorative. The pool area gets busy around mid-morning but honestly, if you’re an early riser or prefer late afternoon swims, it’s quite peaceful. I spent several evenings out there just reading, and the sound of the waves is close enough to be relaxing but not so close that you’re worried about sand everywhere. What really sold me on this place was the little details – like how they keep the common areas clean without being intrusive about it, and the way the restaurant staff remembered my coffee preference after just two days. It’s those human touches that make a 4-star place feel more valuable than some 5-star properties I’ve stayed at. Plus, the location gives you options – you can easily grab a taxi to the marina for boat trips, or walk to the local markets without it being a whole expedition. For the price point and that 9-rating it’s earned, Marena Hurghada just makes sense if you want a solid base for exploring Hurghada without the resort bubble feeling.

  First time and not the last time in shaa Allah, when we arrived, there was a problem with the wifi, Mr. Khaled interacted immediately and solve it within mins. The apartment view is awesome and the apartment overall was cozy

  My partner and I stayed here in Dec 2024 and we definitely recommend it! Khaled was awesome, got in touch before we arrived to Hurghada, and even picked us up from our GoBus station, which was so kind. He and his assistant got us settled in and were very professional and helpful. The apartment we booked was huge for just the two of us – hah! (It was great.:) Anything we needed, it was taken care of/we could just text Khaled and get info. We stayed an extra night to be able to enjoy the Marina and get some much-needed rest, which this place definitely provided. The only downside was that when we woke up one morning, someone was smoking nearby the apartment and so our master bathroom and bedroom reeked of cigarette smoke. It seemed to come from a nearby locked door, and when I closed our bedroom door, it shut out the smell pretty well and I also used the air freshener that was in the home (which I loved the smell of). We were able to wash clothes in a washing machine and hang it on a rack to dry. If you're going to be in Hurghada, definitely stay here to enjoy the apartment itself, the Western amenities of the Marina, real-life Egypt just outside the Marina (we had the best koshary we've ever had), and the awesomeness of Khaled and his staff!

  Khaled manages several apatments in the Marina, this only refers to C3201.
  The apartment is huge, more than big enough to house six people in comfort. The Marina itself is spotless and heavily populated with restaurants. All possible Red Sea activities are on your doorstep. Khaled himself is the epitome of hospitality: nothing appears too much trouble.
  
  What could be improved: Again referring only to C3201, the apartment is above a bar/restaurant: you are unlikely to sleep before it empties.
  We couldn't find a lot of cutlery, it didn't matter for two people but could be a problem for a family. A grill/toaster would be nice.

  The location was fantastic. You could sit on the balcony and view the marina/ sea. Our host, Khaled was fantastic. He will do anything he possibly can (including picking up at the bus station at 4am 🙏
  
  What could be improved: More attention to cleanliness in bathrooms and kitchen. Some towels worn and stained.

  The manager is very responsive. Apartment is clean and spacious. Furniture is good too. Nice location in Marina, where plenty of restaurants and other services are available (pharmacy, supermarket, etc).

  Location was perfect, apartment accommodated all our needs. Beds could have been better, but absolutely no complaints. We were missing an iron, it was brought to us fast. Manager was friendly, understanding and accommodating.
  
  What could be improved: As so many places in Egypt, what you see is not always what you get. Advertising standards didn’t reach Egypt yet 😉
  You book a place with pictures of a nice balcony where you can have dinner with 4 and enjoy a view of the marina. You get an apartment with a balcony where you can hang your clothes to dry but no table or space to sit, but side view of marina.
  But please don’t let it stop you from booking here. Even if they give you one without such a balcony, you will have lovely french windows overlooking the marina.

  The owner actually collected us for free from the bus station and the apartment was huge! Perfect location on the marina and a great terrace over looking thé water. Would definitely recommend!!
