Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Marlin Inn Azur Resort – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly why it works. When you’re driving down the Touristic Road in Hurghada (and trust me, you’ll know you’re on it because every other building is either a hotel or a dive shop), this place sits there with a kind of understated confidence that caught my attention immediately.

The thing about 3-star hotels in Hurghada is they can go either way – you’re either getting a hidden gem or a place that’s trying way too hard to punch above its weight. The Marlin Inn falls into the first category, and I mean that in the best possible way. The lobby has this relaxed vibe where you can actually hear yourself think, which is saying something considering how chaotic the main strip can get during peak season. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – none of that “your room isn’t ready even though it’s 4 PM” nonsense that seems to plague half the hotels in the Red Sea area. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing, and you know what? That 8.1 rating starts making sense pretty quickly.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to those little details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a week, not just posing for Instagram shots. The Wi-Fi actually works in the rooms (revolutionary concept, I know), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof. The pool area gets decent shade in the afternoons – crucial when you’re dealing with that intense Egyptian sun that can turn you into a lobster if you’re not careful. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the restaurant staff remembered my coffee order by day three. It’s a small thing, but it’s these touches that separate a decent stay from a memorable one.

The location is pretty smart too – you’re close enough to walk to the marina and the main shopping areas without being right in the middle of all the chaos. I could actually sleep at night without earplugs, which is more than I can say for some of the places closer to the main party strip. The beach access is solid, and you’re not fighting crowds of day-trippers for a decent spot. Plus, if you’re into diving (and let’s be honest, that’s probably why you’re in Hurghada), most of the dive centers will pick you up right from the hotel without any fuss.

Is it perfect? Well, no – the elevators are a bit slow, and the breakfast could use more variety if you’re staying longer than a few days. But for what you’re paying and what you get, it’s honestly hard to complain. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy your vacation without constantly worrying about whether you’re getting ripped off or dealing with incompetent service. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  • Mona from Egypt – 31 May 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: staff need to be more friendly

  • Amir from Egypt – 21 May 2025 (9/10)

The hotel is constantly developing. The staff are cooperative and always looking out for your comfort. The food is okay. The animation team is active, especially Mustafa. The sea is beautiful and sandy.

What could be improved: .The housekeeper in the main building was disrespectful and rude in his manner and treatment

  • Agnese from Italy – 21 May 2025 (8/10)

Has everything you need, nice food and friendly staff. Clean.

What could be improved: The early closing time of the beach but is common in all the hotels in hurgada

  • Mieke from Belgium – 18 May 2025 (7/10)

The rooms basic but very clean, all is available what you need . the staff was amazing especially by the reception. Very helpful and friendly also f&b department. Food is great and variety every day.

What could be improved: The beach, small and not organised. The hotel was fully booked , the beach over full. You couldn’t sit comfortable. Good entrance in the water even tough. Sunbeds reserved from early morning so to hard to find place . Beach was to crowded.

  • Justyna from United Kingdom – 15 April 2025 (9/10)

I must say that the staff were the highlight of our stay – exceptional service, friendliness, willingness to help, starting from the waiters cooks, room service, animation team, bar staff, management to the staff selling trips- they were all exceptional!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were amazing with lots of choices of great food. Hotel beach was very nice and clean, and I must mention another highlight of our stay – beautiful hotel cats! They were well looked after and super friendly 🙂 Overall, great stay!

What could be improved: Hotel lobby had a very strong smell of air freshener or something like that, it was overwhelming. Apart from that, all was good.

  • Tamer from Egypt – 5 April 2025 (9/10)

    Positive points:
    – Food variety, quality, quantity, and around 6 meals availablitiy.
    – Beach was good, but not very
    clean.
    – Swimming pool was good.

    Negative points:
    – Low games and activities variety
    – Parking was difficult to reach, but provided someone to guide us.
    – We were told that Jacuzzi capacity is 5 persons, while it can barely take 4, but they compensated us with a free Sawna allowance.

  • Renata from Slovakia – 3 April 2025 (9/10)

We enjoyed the stay here, even the weather was the worst could be, it was really cold here and we only stayed for two days. All the stuff was really nice, only missed smiles on the reception desk when we did check in, the food is good, i have experienced better, but for two days we could choose some variations. The room was really nice with good orientation. There was only one elevator to use, due to repair, which i keep forgetting. The pool is not heated, so on cold days you will not make a win win situation and in the morning, we could see it was not cleaned properly

What could be improved: Sauna, massages are extra paid – not a free entry to the spa.

  • Sametyil from Bulgaria – 16 March 2025 (9/10)

Open Swiss buffet. There was many option to choose. Local drinks are free. have own beach and food drinks service in beach also has.

What could be improved: Out of the hotel not much things to do in Hurgada.

  • Necmi from Turkey – 25 February 2025 (9/10)

Nice foods, sea view balcony and nice beach

What could be improved: Wifi is only available in lobby, rooms had better have wifi.

  • مجدى from Egypt – 8 February 2025 (8/10)

    Friendly environment

What could be improved: The buffet should be better
