Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Masaya Hurghada on Talateen Street – I mean, it’s a 3-star place in a pretty busy part of town, so you know what you’re getting into. But here’s the thing that hit me right away: this place just feels different. The staff actually remembers your name after day one (which, if you’ve stayed at hotels in Hurghada before, you’ll know that’s not always a given), and there’s this relaxed vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than just passing through.
The location is actually pretty clever when you think about it. You’re right in the Arabia district, which means you can walk to those little local cafes that tourists usually miss – there’s this tiny place about two blocks down that does the most incredible ful medames for breakfast, and the hotel folks will point you toward spots like that instead of just pushing the typical tourist traps. The Red Sea is close enough that you can hear it at night when the traffic dies down, but you’re not paying those insane beachfront prices. I stayed there during peak season in February, and while the main resort areas were absolutely packed, this part of Hurghada still felt manageable. You can actually get a decent night’s sleep here – the rooms face away from the main road, so you don’t get that constant buzz of traffic that never stops in some parts of the city.
What really gets me about this place is how they handle the details that matter. The air conditioning actually works properly (trust me, in Hurghada’s heat, this isn’t negotiable), the water pressure is solid, and they’ve got this small rooftop area where you can sit with a coffee in the evening and watch the city settle down for the night. The cleaning staff pays attention – I left my room a bit of a mess one day after a diving trip, and they organized everything perfectly without moving important stuff. It’s those little touches that bump a place up from just okay to somewhere you’d actually recommend. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you experience it firsthand – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works the way it should. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to actually experience Hurghada rather than just hide in a resort bubble, and you don’t need marble bathrooms or infinity pools to have a good time, this place gets it right.

We had a very good stay in Masaya hotel. The room was clean, big, with balcony. The home made breakfast delicious. Near the hotel you have Mustafa fish restaurant highly recomended, a lot of supermarkets. Masaya cafe also very nice with a lot of choise of tea, juice, shisha.
