You know what struck me first about Mashrabiya Beach Resort? It’s got this unpretentious vibe that actually works in its favor. I mean, you’re not walking into some marble-clad lobby trying to impress you with chandeliers, but there’s something refreshing about a place that just focuses on getting the basics really right. The location on Youssef Affifi Road puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to Hurghada’s action but far enough that you’re not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strip – honestly, that’s half the battle won right there.

The resort sits right on a decent stretch of beach, and here’s the thing about Hurghada beaches that most people don’t realize until they get there: the good ones aren’t necessarily at the fanciest hotels. Mashrabiya’s beach area is actually pretty solid – the sand’s clean, there’s enough space to spread out (especially if you snag a spot in the morning), and the water entry is gradual enough that you’re not dealing with those annoying rocky patches that some Red Sea spots have. The snorkeling right off the beach is… well, it’s not world-changing, but you’ll see some decent fish action, and the coral’s healthier than what you get at some of the more trampled resort areas. I’d still recommend grabbing a day trip to the better reef sites, but for a quick morning swim and snorkel, it does the job.

What really sells this place though is that it feels like the staff actually care about running a proper operation. Check-in was smooth – no weird hidden fees or pushy upgrade pitches – and the rooms are clean with decent AC (crucial in Hurghada, trust me). It’s not fancy, but everything works, and honestly? After a day out on the water or exploring, that’s what matters. The pool area gets busy during peak season, but there’s usually space if you’re flexible about timing. Food’s typical resort fare – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but solid Egyptian dishes alongside the international stuff, and they handle dietary restrictions without making it a big production. The evening crowd skews pretty international, lots of European families and couples, which creates this relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere that I actually preferred to some of the stuffier places I’ve stayed in the area. Parking’s easy if you rent a car, and you’re close enough to walk to some decent local restaurants when you want to escape resort food for a night. For a 3-star that’s clearly putting effort into the guest experience, Mashrabiya delivers exactly what it promises – no more, no less, but done well.

  The resort is a collection of small houses, each with three to four apartments. It is currently being renovated. My apartment was above average clean for egyptian standards and this price range. The internet was also pretty good with a few interruptions, but maybe that's just because my apartment was near the reception. The beach is very pretty, but gets quite crowded as people from out of the resort are also allowed in for a fee. The staff is very helpful too, although communication in English is a bit hard

  Il resort è nuovissimo, molto carino ed informale. Adatto per chi cerca un po' di relax in un ambiente tranquillo senza il distacco dei soliti mega resort. Si trova accanto a tutti i servizi (Auchan è davanti dall'altra parte della strada, così come tantissimi posti devo mangiare e negozi vari) hanno due piscine, di cui una davanti alle stanze con la cucina che avevamo preso noi, la piscina è nuova e carinissima. La spiaggia del restort è carina e munita di lettini e ombrelloni. Purtroppo non ci sono pesci per fare snorkeling ma con il gommone l'isola di magawish è vicina.

  What could be improved: Wifi信号不稳定，预定的房间到了以后被告知无房，换了一个小的，后来沟通过后给了一间更大的房间。但是没有遮挡门

  Närheten till strand, du har en privat strand 150 meter från boendet, finns enklare beachbar. Läget är bra, nära restauranger och caféer.
  
  What could be improved: Första natten fick vi ett sämre rum som var i dåligt skick. Personalen var lyhörd och vi fick ett bättre rum dagen efter. Faciliteterna behöver underhållas.

  Un super rapport qualité-prix. 2 piscines, la plage privée inclus dans la chambre. De charmants appartements propres et bien équipés. Un personnel très gentil et agréable. On nous a même apporté une barquette de fraises. Non franchement c'est vraiment une belle découverte.
