Honestly, when I first pulled up to MB1-1-104 in El Gouna, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the name sounds more like a corporate office code than a hotel, right? But you know what, sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard with fancy names. This little 3-star spot is tucked into El Gouna proper, and I mean really tucked in – you’re not dealing with some isolated resort bubble here. You can actually walk around and feel like you’re experiencing the real rhythm of this Red Sea town, which honestly is pretty refreshing when so many places keep you locked into their compound.

The thing about El Gouna is that it gets this reputation for being all upscale and polished (which parts of it definitely are), but staying at MB1-1-104 puts you right in the middle of where actual life happens. I’d wake up to the sound of local fishermen heading out early – not exactly alarm clock material, but there’s something authentic about it that beats the generic hotel lobby music you get elsewhere. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – clean, functional, nothing that’ll blow your mind but everything works the way it should. The air conditioning actually keeps up with the Egyptian heat, which, let me tell you, is not a given at every place in this price range. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that bureaucratic runaround that can sometimes happen when you’re dealing with smaller properties.

What really sold me on this place was how it connects you to El Gouna without the tourist markup you get closer to the marina area. You’re still within walking distance of the good stuff – the waterfront, decent restaurants that locals actually eat at, the small shops where you can grab essentials without paying resort prices. Parking was never an issue, which might seem like a small thing until you’ve circled around other parts of El Gouna looking for a spot during busy season. The 8.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but it delivers on what matters. The staff genuinely seemed to know the area well, not just the standard tourist recommendations but actual insider knowledge about timing (like when the wind picks up for kitesurfing, or which days the local market is worth visiting). I mean, you’re not getting luxury amenities here, but you’re getting something that feels more genuine than a lot of the bigger, flashier places. If you want to experience El Gouna as more than just a resort destination – actually get a feel for how this unique Red Sea community works – this is the kind of place that lets you do that without breaking the bank.

  I would like to give a feedback about the property:
  • it’s in amazing location
  • stunning view from the roof terrace to watch sun set or sun rise while you are chilled.
  •It was very spacious for my family and my dog was enjoying the place a lot

  What could be improved: there was absolutely no internet connection (No wifi as mentioned in the discription of the flat ),no Iron for clothes despite it was included also , no blankets ,sheets and pillows in one of the floors too.

  Localisation idéale dans la Marina ! Le rapport qualité prix est excellent avec un appartement simple mais propre et une terrasse incroyable.
  Le propriétaire a été tres disponible et nous recommandons vivement cet appartement !
