You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to MinaMark Beach Resort on Sheraton Road – honestly, that stretch can feel a bit overdeveloped if you’ve been to Hurghada before. But there’s something about this place that just works, especially if you’re looking for that sweet spot between family-friendly and romantic without the chaos of screaming kids everywhere (they’ve got this adults-only and families-only thing figured out better than most).

The location is actually pretty smart – you’re right in the heart of things but set back enough that you don’t get the street noise from the main tourist drag. I mean, you can walk to the bazaars and restaurants easily enough, but when you want to crash by their pool or hit their private beach stretch, it feels properly secluded. The Red Sea here is… well, it’s why people come to Hurghada in the first place. Crystal clear, perfect for snorkeling, and their beach setup doesn’t feel cramped like some of the newer resorts further south. What really got me though was how the staff seemed to actually remember your name after the first day – not that forced hospitality thing, but genuine friendliness that makes the whole experience feel less commercial.

Here’s the thing about four-star places in Egypt – they can be hit or miss, but MinaMark delivers on the basics really well. The rooms are clean and properly air-conditioned (crucial in summer, trust me), the food is a solid mix of international and local dishes without being too touristy, and honestly? The pool area becomes this perfect little oasis in the afternoon when the beach gets too hot. I noticed they keep the music at a reasonable level too, which is rare – you can actually have a conversation without shouting. Check-in was smooth, Wi-Fi works where it should, and parking isn’t a nightmare if you rent a car to explore the area. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it hits that comfortable sweet spot where you can relax without worrying about the details. Perfect for couples who want some peace, families who want space to spread out, or honestly just anyone who wants a proper Egyptian coast experience without the five-star price tag.

  The room was clean and the room service was cleaning it everyday, the animation team was impressive, and the reception was quickly and cooperating with requests.

  Very nice resort, all staff veey kind.
  
  What could be improved: Lotus Spa is overpriced for the quality of the services they offer. Some of the therapusts they don't even know the body muscles to offer a proper medical massage and the second half of my appountment of Turkush bath, , the therapist did it in a rush and i had to remove myself the face mask, which was just a thin layer of cream that didn't hydrate at all. Very, very low quality service and high prices in Lotus Spa!

  That's my sixth stay in Minamark hotel and really it's the best one of them . Everything was really good and the deep care of details from the hotel management made the difference.
  Quality of food this year especially the lunch was better than the previous years .
  Also, I want to thank all the staff members who made my vacation more comfortable especially Mohamed from the reception , Melanie and Tatiana from guest relations department , Mahmoud from house keeping team and Salama house keeping supervisor .

  Amazing location directly in the city center, very calm, extremely clean and the staff is amazing! Shout-out to chef Ahmed Salem in the kitchen, amazing service and amazing person. Also shout out to Maryam from guest relations. We had a little bit of a small room for 3 person's and they (especially Maryam) did everything possible and provided is an upgrade. Thanks to all the staff, amazing hotel and definitely recommendable!!!

  The beach is spectacular staff very friendly specially the front desk.
  Very clean hotel. Very joyful activities done by animation team.
  Location is fantastic , close to anything you might need.
  
  What could be improved: Power cut off for couple of times didn't stay off for long period and it wasn't the hotel's fault.
  AC in the lobby needs to be on
