Mini-Studio With Free Private Beach

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name says “mini-studio” but honestly, it doesn’t feel cramped at all. I mean, sure, it’s compact, but whoever designed this space actually gets how to make small work. The location on Gabel El Harim is pretty sweet too – you’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos but still close enough to everything that matters in El Bahr.

The private beach thing is legit, by the way. I was skeptical at first (aren’t we all when hotels throw around “private beach”?), but this strip of sand really is just for guests. It’s not huge, but that’s actually perfect because you’re not fighting for space or dealing with vendors every five minutes like you would at the public beaches closer to the resort strip. The water here is that ridiculous Red Sea blue-green that looks fake in photos, and the coral formations are close enough to snorkel right from shore. I spent way too many mornings just floating around with a mask on, watching the fish do their thing.

What really sold me on this place was the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchenette is small but functional – I could make coffee in the morning and store leftovers from those massive Egyptian portions you get at local restaurants. The air conditioning actually works (not always a given in this price range), and the Wi-Fi is solid enough for video calls back home. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that drawn-out process where they try to upsell you on everything.

The area itself is pretty authentic – you’ll hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques, smell spices from the local market when the wind shifts, and actually see Egyptian families using the neighborhood, not just tourists. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the main Hurghada action if you want restaurants and nightlife, but honestly, some of the best food I had was at the little places right in El Bahr. There’s this tiny spot that does incredible ful medames for breakfast – the owner doesn’t speak much English but he’ll make sure you’re fed properly.

The only minor thing I’d mention is that being away from the resort zone means you’ll want to arrange your own transportation for day trips or diving excursions. But the upside is you’re paying a fraction of what those beachfront hotels charge, and you’re getting a more genuine slice of Egyptian coastal life. The 9.2 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises and then some. For the price point, especially with that private beach access, it’s honestly hard to beat.

  Very quiet spot away from busy streets and private beach! Super easy to get into town with uber/taxi. Just remember to buy water!
  
  What could be improved: The only issue we had was with the water thank not working, but it was fixed very quickly by the staff. Water pressure in the shower took a bit longer to return but everything else worked without problems.

  It was a small room but everything you will need was there. You can cook, eat and drink in the room. The location is good but even though map says it is on the city center, it is not. The city center is around 2 kilometers away. You can use uber. There are mini markets and a mall near by. Some markets are open 7/24. Beach was not as good as we imagined but good enough for this price.

  What could be improved: It was not a studio. It was just a very small room on a high mountain, hike to go to your mini room.
  Beach not nearby, walk 250m. from your mini room.
  Stove and kitchen not available. Only microwave and mini room fridge available. A small Terrace in the space of owner for 2 persons, where you can have your coffee or tea only. No privacy on terrace.
  
  Weak WiFi. Towels very old. Difficult annoying Keys, for three levels. Power supply weak and scary at night. Bed sheets very old. Bed uncomfortable. No trash bin in the very small Room for two persons. I would not recommend it to anyone visiting Hurghada.

  Moc pěkné čisté ubytování na klidném místě. Majitelka velice milá. Soukromá hlídaná pláž a celý objekt. Cítili jsme se zde velice příjemně a bezpečně. Kousek je nákupní centrum a možnost se najíst.

  Appartement très bien situé (au calme, mais pas loin de tout). Bien équipé (micro onde, plaque électrique, frigo, lave linge, fer à repasser,..). Il bénéficie egalement d'une plage privée.
  L'accueil de la proprietaire est chaleureux, et les gars de la sécurité à l'entrée du lotissement sont très sympathiques.
