The moment I walked into this apartment at Abu Tig Marina, I actually felt like I was staying somewhere real people live – not just another cookie-cutter hotel room. The whole “minimal” thing in the name isn’t just marketing speak; they really did nail that clean, uncluttered vibe without making it feel sterile or cold.

The location is honestly what makes this spot special. Abu Tig Marina is basically the heart of El Gouna – I mean, you’re literally looking out at boats bobbing in the marina, and there’s this constant gentle sound of water lapping against the docks that’s way better than any white noise machine. What I loved is that you can walk to pretty much everything from here. The main strip with all the restaurants and bars is right there, but here’s the thing locals know – if you head toward the marina’s far end around sunset, you’ll find this little walkway where hardly any tourists go, and the light hitting the water is just incredible.

The apartment itself is exactly what you’d want for a longer stay in El Gouna (though honestly, even for just a few nights, having that kitchen comes in handy). The bedroom gets great morning light, but thankfully the blackout curtains actually work – something you can’t take for granted in Egypt. I was surprised by how quiet it stays even during busy season; the marina location means you’re away from the main road noise but still central to everything. The AC worked perfectly, which, let me tell you, is not something to overlook in Hurghada’s heat. One small thing – the wifi was solid, but if you’re planning to work from here, mornings tend to be faster than evenings when everyone’s streaming.

What really won me over was how the whole setup just makes sense for El Gouna. This isn’t a place where you want to be stuck in some resort compound; you want to wander around the lagoons, grab coffee at different spots, maybe take a boat out. Having this apartment as your base means you can actually live like you belong here for a while. The walk to Tamr Henna Square takes maybe five minutes, and if you’re into kitesurfing or diving, the operators all know this area well – they’ll pick you up right from the marina if you arrange it ahead of time. Honestly, for the price point and that 8.4 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.

  nicely furnished, clean, well equipped apartment at the Marina. lots to do in the area, everything one can need is a walking distance from the apartment. the host is very responsive and helpful.

  It is really cozy and felt like home right away. Near everything but not in crowded place of Abu Tig Marina.

  The place was clean, and everything was as described, which made for a pleasant stay. However, there were some issues with the Wi-Fi, which wasn't working initially. I contacted the management, and while they did send someone to fix it, it was an inconvenience.
  Another concern was the insurance fee. They charged me 3,000 EGP as a security deposit before my stay, which they promised to return within 48 hours after checkout. Unfortunately, I had to wait over a week and had difficulty reaching them to get my deposit back. It was only after persistent attempts that I finally received the refund.While the apartment itself was good, the delay in communication and refund process left me a bit disappointed
