You know what struck me first about Mirage Bay? It’s actually got this sprawling, almost village-like feel that catches you off guard when you’re driving down the Touristic Villages Road. I mean, most places along this stretch of Hurghada try to cram everything into these towering blocks, but this place spreads out instead – which honestly makes it feel less like a hotel factory and more like somewhere you’d actually want to hang out for a week.

The aquapark is where this place really earns its keep, and I’m not just talking about having a few slides thrown together as an afterthought. The water’s actually refreshing (crucial in Hurghada’s heat), and the slides are proper fun – not those sketchy contraptions you sometimes see at resorts. What I really appreciated was how they’ve laid out the pool areas so you’re not constantly dodging screaming kids if you want to chill with a book, but families aren’t banished to some corner either. The all-inclusive setup works well here too, though honestly, the poolside service can get a bit slow during peak afternoon hours when everyone’s trying to escape that brutal midday sun. The food’s solid – not mind-blowing, but way better than the usual resort buffet situation. They do a decent job with the Egyptian dishes, and the grilled fish is actually fresh, which… well, you’d hope so being right on the Red Sea, but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up.

Location-wise, you’re about 20 minutes from Hurghada’s main action, which is either perfect or annoying depending on what you’re after. If you want to explore the souks or hit up some of the local restaurants downtown, you’ll need to factor in taxi rides (though the hotel can arrange transfers that aren’t too pricey). But honestly, being slightly removed from the chaos has its perks – you get those gorgeous sunset views over the water without the noise from the main tourist strip carrying over. The beach situation is decent, though the entry’s a bit rocky – definitely bring water shoes if you’re planning to do more than lounge on the sand. That 8.6 rating feels about right; it’s not going to revolutionize your idea of what a resort can be, but it delivers on its promises without any major disappointments. The staff genuinely seem to care about making sure you’re having a good time, which goes a long way when you’re dealing with travel stress and just want things to work smoothly.

  The rooms are clean and nice and there is anything you need. Waterpark is fun for kids. Hannibal is always reachable and very supportive.

  I liked everything, beach ,pools, Hannibal was the best Manager I’ve ever seen ,he helped us for evth for what we need, for sure we like to come back again.

  Some words about our accommodation.
  We had everything what we needed, and if we had any special question we got it. Cleaning was perfect, the guy was very helpful and kept a daily contact with us. The apartment was a perfect place for having a rest with a double airconditional system. It was silence, not crowded with an own swimming pool.
  The owner Hany is a very kind, helpful man who really interested of your well being!
  We felt really in safe us, because he helped us in everything. For example when we wanted to order some food from the city or transfer anywhere. I wish next year we can come back to visit him!

  The Host was really nice and welcoming. We travel a lot so I can compare that to others. (Thank you Hannibal 🙏) There is a heated water park. Might be restricted times during the day depending on the season. Has it's own beach that's really convenient. Excursions can be booked at the hotel or just across the street.
  
  What could be improved: Food gets plain after a while,but we found that everywhere in Egypt. Solution is to go 1 type of meal an occasion 🙂

  What could be improved: Not clean at all. Condition of the room very poor. Wardrobe was very dusty. Bathroom was terrible. Food not good, my wife and myself had bacteria and heavy diarrhoea. Coffee and soft drinks were also terrible. Cancelled from the first day our stay was meant to be from 6 June 2025 until 14 June 2025. Requested cancelling and money back but was refused to pay back!
