You know what really caught me off guard about this place? The moment I walked into this G-Cribs apartment, it felt way more spacious and put-together than I expected from the photos. I mean, we’re talking about a proper one-bedroom setup here – not some cramped studio trying to pass itself off as an apartment. The bedroom actually has room to move around, and honestly, the living area is where you’ll probably end up spending most of your time anyway, especially with those sliding doors that open right up to let the Red Sea breeze flow through.

The pool situation is really what seals the deal though. It’s not technically your private pool (let’s be realistic about that 3-star price point), but the access is so easy and the pool area rarely feels crowded – I think because a lot of people staying in El Gouna end up spending their days at the marina or out on diving trips. I’d hit the pool around 4 PM most days, right when the afternoon heat starts backing off, and it was perfect. The location on Club Road puts you right in the sweet spot too – close enough to walk to the town center and all those little restaurants near the marina, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the evening crowds and music that can get pretty loud around Abu Tig Marina on weekends.

What I really appreciated was how the apartment actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen is small but functional (I made coffee every morning and grabbed groceries from the Tamr Henna market down the road), and there’s enough counter space to prep simple meals if you get tired of eating out. The Wi-Fi was surprisingly solid too – I was able to work from there a few mornings without any issues, which honestly isn’t always a given in this part of Egypt. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the air conditioning unit in the bedroom can be a bit noisy at night, but after a day of sun and swimming, you’re probably going to sleep through anything anyway. The 9.3 rating makes total sense when you consider the value – you’re getting a legitimate apartment experience in one of Egypt’s most beautiful resort towns, with pool access, for way less than you’d pay at the big hotels along the lagoon.
