You know what really struck me about this place? It’s actually tucked into one of the quieter corners of Mangroovy – which honestly is saying something, because El Gouna can get pretty buzzy during peak season. I mean, most people think of El Gouna and picture the main lagoons with all the action, but this spot sits in a sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to everything but far enough back that you’re not hearing music from the beach bars until 2am.

The apartment itself is pretty much exactly what you’d want for a week in the Red Sea – it’s got that modern, clean-lined vibe without being sterile, and the pool situation is honestly better than I expected. I’ve stayed in a few places around Gouna where the pool feels like an afterthought, but this one actually gets good sun most of the day and isn’t surrounded by construction noise (which, let’s be real, can be hit or miss in this part of Egypt). The beach access is legit too – you’re not dealing with those rocky patches you sometimes get further north along the coast. The water’s that ridiculous turquoise color that makes your Instagram followers think you’ve over-edited everything, but it actually looks like that.

What I really appreciated was how the whole setup just works for the way you actually want to spend time here. The bedroom stays cool even when it’s blazing outside – and trust me, if you’re visiting between May and September, you’ll care about this more than you think. The little kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Tamr Henna market (about a 10-minute walk) and make breakfast instead of paying resort prices every morning. Plus, parking is straightforward, which sounds boring but you’ll thank me when you’re not circling around looking for a spot after a day trip to Luxor. The whole Mangroovy area has this laid-back residential feel that’s different from the more touristy parts of El Gouna – you’ll see Egyptian families hanging out by the water alongside the international crowd, which gives it a more authentic vibe. Honestly, for a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight, and that 9 rating isn’t just people being generous.
