You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from apartment 3314 at ALDAU Village Mall when I first pulled up – I mean, it’s literally built into a shopping complex, which sounds weird on paper. But honestly, this setup actually works better than you’d think, especially if you’re the type who forgets to pack something important (guilty as charged).

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious and modern, with that clean, minimalist vibe that photographs well but also feels comfortable to actually live in for a week. The kitchen’s properly equipped – not just those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken coffee maker. I actually cooked a few meals here using ingredients from the Carrefour downstairs, which was kind of nice after eating out constantly. The AC works like a dream too, which you’ll definitely appreciate during Hurghada’s brutal summer months. What really sold me though was the balcony view – you get this nice slice of the Red Sea between the buildings, and early mornings out there with coffee became my little ritual.

Location-wise, you’re sort of in this interesting middle ground. It’s not right on the beach strip where all the resort action happens, but that means it’s quieter and you’re not dealing with constant tour groups. The ALDAU area feels more like where actual people live, if that makes sense. There’s a decent bus connection to downtown Hurghada, and honestly, having that mall right underneath you is pretty convenient – there’s a pharmacy, some cafes, and even a little supermarket that stays open late. Parking was never an issue, which can’t be said for a lot of places closer to the marina. The only minor thing is that weekend evenings can get a bit noisy from the mall’s food court area, but nothing that would keep you awake if you’re a decent sleeper. Check-in was smooth too – the property manager met me right at the apartment entrance, no wandering around looking for some hidden reception desk. For the price point and that perfect 10 rating from other guests, I can see why this place books up quickly during peak season.
