But this spot in Mangroovy Residence actually delivers, and then some. You know what struck me first? The pool area feels way more spacious than you’d expect for a 3-star place, and it’s not packed with screaming kids at 7am like some of the bigger resorts down the coast. The water’s properly maintained too – none of that cloudy, over-chlorinated mess you sometimes get.

The location in El Gouna is honestly perfect if you want that Red Sea experience without the chaos of central Hurghada. Mangroovy Beach is literally a few minutes’ walk, and I mean the actual good part of the beach, not some rocky afterthought. The sand’s decent, the water’s clear, and you’re not fighting for space with tour groups every five minutes. What I really appreciated – and this is something you only notice after staying in a few places around here – is how quiet it gets in the evenings. El Gouna’s got this weird ability to be lively during the day but actually let you sleep at night, which is pretty rare along this stretch of coast.

The apartment itself feels properly modern, not that fake-modern where everything’s just painted white and called contemporary. The kitchen’s actually functional (I made coffee every morning without wanting to throw things), and the air conditioning works well enough that you’re not sweating through the sheets in July. Parking’s straightforward too, which sounds boring but trust me, after circling blocks in downtown Hurghada looking for a spot, you’ll appreciate having somewhere to just… park. The whole Mangroovy complex feels well-managed – I mean, the lifts work, the corridors are clean, and check-in was refreshingly drama-free. Sometimes the little things matter more than fancy lobbies, you know? Plus, you’re close enough to the marina and Abu Tig that you can walk to decent restaurants without needing a taxi every time you want something other than hotel food. That 9 rating isn’t just lucky reviews – this place actually gets the basics right while giving you proper access to what makes El Gouna worth visiting in the first place.
