You know what hit me first about Mosaique Hotel El Gouna? The smell of salt air mixed with that distinctive Red Sea breeze as soon as I walked through the lobby. This place sits right on Abu Tig Marina’s north basin, and I mean *right* on it – you can literally watch the boats bobbing from most of the rooms. It’s one of those spots where the location does half the work for you.

El Gouna itself is this quirky resort town that feels like someone dropped a Mediterranean village into the Egyptian desert, and Mosaique fits right into that vibe. The hotel’s got this mosaic-tiled aesthetic (hence the name, obviously) that could’ve been cheesy but actually works really well with the marina setting. What I loved was how they managed to feel upscale without being stuffy – you can wander around in flip-flops and nobody bats an eye, but the service still feels properly attentive. The staff actually remembers your name after day two, which is rarer than you’d think at four-star places.

Honestly, the 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. The rooms are solid – not Instagram-perfect, but comfortable with decent air conditioning (crucial in Hurghada’s heat) and those marina views I mentioned. The bathroom situation is what you’d expect from a proper four-star, though I’d pack your own fancy toiletries if that matters to you. What really sold me was the whole Abu Tig Marina area – it’s become the social hub of El Gouna over the past few years. You’ve got decent restaurants within walking distance, including some surprisingly good Italian places, and the marina itself turns into this lovely evening scene where locals and tourists actually mix. The hotel’s positioned so you’re part of that action but not drowning in it – you can retreat back to your room when the marina bars get loud around midnight. Parking’s straightforward if you’re renting a car to explore the rest of the Red Sea coast, and the front desk staff knows their stuff about day trips to places like Hurghada’s old town or the coral reefs. I mean, you’re basically getting a proper Red Sea experience without the mega-resort crowds, which is exactly what some of us are looking for.

  I liked the room very much, it had a view over the pool and the size was great.
  
  What could be improved: I think the breakfast need to have more options in the hotel itself, I had water activities early in the day and I couldn't get any omlett or cheese through my stay. Also the air condition sound was too high, I had to close it and open it during the night to get some sleep. Other than that everything was perfect.

  What could be improved: Scarse breakfast,although they can take you to a neighbor hotel where you can have a much more enjoyable a la Cart breakfast.

  Very nice hotel and friendly staff. The location is amazing on the Marina and very quiet area. Alla facilities, restaurant and cafe are available. Recommended for short stays in El Gouna.

  El Gouna is a heaven on earth. Good for sports, kiteboarding, relaxation. Very good food and pleasant pleople. We are planing to come back again and again.

  Fantastic staff was so kind and helpful.
  A special thanks to Reception staff who always kind and helpful.
  But all the staff were great and worked so well as a team. Friendly atmosphere every time when entered or left the hotel.
  The cleaning staff kept the rooms spotless. The beds were super comfy.
